That all depends on what I can bring to bear against it. I'll probably try to kill it, although I hasten to emphasise "try".

And in the unlikely event that I do kill it I will jump up and down on the place of its death in celebration of the knowledge that my first encounter with a dragon was not a total embarassment despite the fact that I am now naked due to my rags having been incinerated very early on in the fight, and if I do manage to kill a dragon with my starting sword and little or no armour I will never let anyone forget it.

But no-one would believe me anyway, would they? Eh?

i will pull out my worst weapon take off all my armor then initiate the battle by using the secret 1 time use leeroy jenkins dragon shout then proceed to fight said dragon which i guarantee i will lose then i will reload and avoid dragons like the plague until im sure im tough enough

I'm predicting that the first dragon you'll meet will be in the quest driven period in the beginning of the game (you know, when you have to get out of jail etc.) Maybe you'll get help from another NPC/s to take it down (making it relatively easy) and then you discover that you're dragonborn when you svck its soul.

But if this isn't the case, I'll probably attack when I see the first dragon just to see where I stand powerwise...will probably die and have to reload since dragons are going to be very hard to beat.

I'm going to try and slay it. I'm also going to try testing out a bunch of stuff and see what works/doesn't work. I can already imagine how many dragon Youtube videos they'll be.
