When do you plan to get this game?

Post » Wed Feb 24, 2010 9:09 pm

If my PC can handle it, I'd probably get it within the first week of release.

If that's not the case, then I'll just wait a couple of years until I can buy a better PC, just what I did with Oblivion :D

I would love to get the game the day it comes out.
But if I do then I am sure to be in the dog house for a good couple of weeks or more.
So I have to wait for the 12th or 13th.
But if they do a midnight release, Oh. Please I hope they do.
Maybe then I can avoid the dog house.
But then again I wont get to play until after the 11th.
So maybe I should just wait.

Dunno. Probably a week or two after the release. Longer if there's a lot of bugs that need fixing, perhaps until the first patch comes out. We'll see.

Its no my Xmas list so I won't be getting it, my kids will for me
I'll probably wait for the GOTY (or similar) edition rather than buy the DLC as it comes out though.

If it doesn't get pushed back then it will be coming out right before my finals, so I might have to wait until those are done, but I am NOT going to wait until Christmas! :)

I plan on preordering a week before release. The best deals usually show up much closer to release. The past game I preordered(civ v) had a great deal at d2d and then then they had a -10$ code ontop of that. Ill definitely go digital again so I can preload it too. It's been confirmed steamworks right? So a preload is almost a guarantee.

November 2nd is my bday too!!! This will be a great bday present from my wife and son :). He loved watching me kill the bad guys, and the level of violence in oblivion was just right(not gory etc). I just hope skyrim isn't too over the top, or atleasts has a low blood setting.... Daddy does not need to be woken up due to nightmares. I'll be getting zero sleep anyways due to playing the game!!

Dammit, people. My alternative is never present in these things. You just never think of the stingy people, do you? Not that I'm going to pirate it or something, but it's just too expensive on launch for me to buy it immediately.

Then start saving up. From just about now.

I bought it the day after they announced it at the VGAs. I will be at the midnight launch to pick it up.(if there is one)

If they CE is something interesting, I will upgrade. But to be honest I have never seen a CE that I wanted for any game I have ever purchased. Its usually some junk you overpay for.

I'll likely wait a few weeks and see what the buzz is on the forum from those who's opinions I trust. I could care less what sources like Gamespot and other "review" sites say.

I know what kept me playing Morrowind for as long as I did. If the same features aren't available in Skyrim, I doubt I'll want to spend the money.

What i learned to do is 1 or 2 weeks before release , i stay away from forums and gaming websites, then i buy the game and play it , it helps me a lot for not to get overhyped

ill probably go dark too around that time. over hype is never a good thing and can be a game killer in some cases

on topic: im getting it the moment its available have it pre-ordered and payed off and i can go with out the CE because i never really got the point behind it

besides knowing game stop there probably going to have something for pre-ordering. :tes:
