Post » Mon Jun 14, 2010 12:22 am

I am a bit of a pack rat while playing the game I have heard that once saved files get bigger than 10MB it causes problems is this true? I have an epic crap load of weapons and items plus all my homes are fully decorated. My save file is now bigger than 10MB will this cause problems for me down the road with future saves and the upcoming DLCs. I play on playstation (shakes fist in air DAMN HACKERS)

I heard that on the old Fallout 3 it caused problems will it effect my FNV playing. Thanks for any advice you can give me

10 mb????????? and you are not having problems already?

The video game gods must be smiling on you.

Before the patch 8500kb the gams started gettinb really nasty. By 1mb it was unplayable. The patch seemed to do a lot of good.

Fo3 was the same in the respect that the more that was on a save the more chance it had of freezing. It was never as bad as pre patch nv though IMO. I played nv on 360 and PS3, and it was just about the same deal with both systems.

Every third or fourth day (in Game) of Super Mutant hunting the downloading screen with the spinning roulete table will not end and I have to quit the game and restart reloading from a quick save. I have not had even one lockup since the patch while in game but every third or fourth in game day the loading screen does not end. I constantly harvest supermutants for 20,000 caps every three days so I have a lot of money. 2,000,000 caps is what I keep on hand plus the [censored] ton of goods like the 37 gold bars and lots of cigs and many weapons (315 service rifles and 20,000 5.56 rounds for instance) if I sell off a [censored] ton of stuff will that lower my save file?

I run alot of mods, and am a pack rat, but my largest (of the 400 saves i have atm) is 3mb. sounds like you have some dirty mods installed that overuse the placeatme command. its known to cause savegame bloat which causes all sorts of stability problems

I'm on PS3 and I am quite surprised as to how much memory the saves are taking up. I haven't even progressed through the main story line and am nearing a 6 mb save file (level 21). In Fallout 3 I was down in the 3 mb range until I had all the DLC (then I started going up to 10 mb).

Most of my save games are a little above 10 mb. I do run ALOT of mods plus texture replacers as well. My games runs pretty smooth most of the time (when I don't mistakenly leave an app or three running in the background.)

My 3rd character is 5mb... My first (level 35) has only a 3mb file and I havent used it since the patch.
