Where are the new levels in Game of the Year Edition?

Post » Fri May 13, 2011 7:03 pm

Greetings,

I purchased Fallout 3 Game of the Year Edition and started off by installing Disc 1. Played that for a while and thought I'd check out Disc 2, which appears to contain the add-on levels. It installed successfully but I do not see any change at all to the game when I play it. Should I see something different or does it simply expand the game to include different story lines or places that I might not have discovered yet?

Thanks..

What system are you on?

On PC you need to enable the DLC under the Data Files tab on the launcher.

If you are playing on XBox 360, the next time you load your game it will show you a number of pop ups indicating...various things (don't want to spoil). These pop ups indicate new quests that have been activated, and will show locations to new areas associated with them. I noticed a slight lag/delay in the time it took for these pop ups to appear but appear they did.

The DLC should already be active if you see the quests The Local Flavor (incorrect spelling, there should be a 'u' in there), Aiding the Outcasts and Enter the Pitt in your Pip-Boy quest tab. Oh yeah, and the Mothership Zeta one.

The American spelling is 'flavor', so it is correct.;)

Well, since I know that you won't be successful until the Annex of (whatever year it happens in the Fallout universe ;) ), I am not overly worried.

That doesn't mean I won't check and see if the Enclave is worth joining however...;)

Not according to our American scientists.

"In 1926 the American Chemical Society officially decided on the spelling aluminum, but American dictionaries use the British variant, aluminium."

Considering that the FO games, so far, all happen in the areas currently known as being part of the USA, then using US spellings in the games is appropriate.

... its not "aluminium" its "aluminum" and ...

Actually, aluminum is a mistake on your part, as you spell all the other element ending as such with an ium (from latin or summat probably)
By the time it was realised, it was too late oops!

In the US, where BGS is located, flavor is spelt like that. Just like 'color' and 'humor'.

In preparation for the annexation of the US... Those South Park jokes must have consequences, you know.

Oh no, I make an innocent comment about the spelling of flavour/flavor and looked what's happening...it's all out war!

I don't know what to say, I can only apologise...

(that's apologise with a 's', not with a 'z')

This is an apocalyptic zone, after all. We need our fix of big explosions. If we don't get it, we make our own.
