Where are you from and what is your background?

Nope. I was cut-trained to hot-pit refuel one, but that's about as far as my knowledge went. Had plenty of friends/enemies that were though. Mostly friends at this point I think

Sweet, I flew on an AWACS once pretty crazy "office" to work out of, looked like a lot of fun.

I'm married and am living in Texas but am from Washington, D.C.. I'm a writer, blogger and interior decorator.

I've traveled all over the country and have been gaming since I was 9-years-old. (there were only pinball machines then.)

He was only in for four years. I think he loved the equipment but wasn't fond of the people, heh. He'll probably be reading this at some point so don't quote me XD.

Hi! I'm Monica from Houston, Texas. I'm in my final semester in college, with a major in English Literature and a minor in History. I am especially interested in Japanese, Korean, WWI &WW II history (they need more WW I movies and documentaries). I love languages and can speak Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and German fairly well. I've been gaming since I was a child, and I mainly played what my 3 older brothers played (Lord of the Realms, Unreal Tournament, and Age of Empires II). TESO will be my first MMO. For fun, I love to read Agatha Christie. I like to watch: ITV's Poirot and Miss Marple, Call of the Midwife, Downton Abbey, The Vikings, and Korean dramas. I love K-pop, J-rock, darkwave, industrial, and more. Other games I play include: Skyrim, Oblivion, Pokemon (I am a moderator at a Pokemon forum), The Sims series, the Dragon Age series, Vampire: The Masquerade, and the Saints Row series. I plan on teaching English in South Korea, Japan, or Europe (if I can find a job).

Worked Weapons many years on Falcons, had a number of CC friends. Good Times. I also was an ART for ten years, sounds like what you are doing now.

I'm both. CPA and doing IT audit jobs in a medium sized public accounting firm. Don't know what you meant by sawdust on the floor though.

From and old, 'get off my lawn' kinda guy. I'm impressed.

The good war is poorly represented, I agree. You have an unusual group of languages, the Asian three and . . . German?

Cool. Didn't get to be around ya'll too much as I only worked A-10's for about a year, but you guys definitely know how to party with the best of them!

I'm actually not an ART just plain old civil service, though a bunch of the people I work with are. I though about doing it at one point, but they always look so bummed the Monday after their weekend all clean shaven and such lol.

Thanks! German and Japanese were my real first foreign languages that I took in high school. Funnily enough, I tried to teach myself Italian around the same time (Axis powers). I guess it's because in many world war 2 movies, they don't always translate what the Axis troops were saying/yelling, and I really wanted to know. My dad did not find this funny... And as for the Great War, we need more than All's Quiet in the Western Front and The Lost Battalion. There is so much potential!

I'm a retired English teacher. The day before the ESO launch I'll turn 72. The first computer game I played was the Colossal Cave text adventure game in the early 80s--as far as I know that was the first computer game, period--aside from maybe tic-tac-toe--and I've been a gamer ever since. I've been a fan of the Elder Scrolls games since Morrowind, and I've been looking forward to the MMO since I saw the first rumors about it. I'll be RP-ing happily throughout Tamriel as soon as I get my pre-order code. IRL I'm a transplant from Chicago to Southern California; I've been enjoying the sunshine and palm trees for thirty years now, and I've never looked back.

Weightlifter and a Guan Dao polearm master. Was bench pressing 500 at age 20 all natural as you can bein this modern era mostly haha and hard work but at age 22-now age 23 I stopped going so heavy because I want to save my joints for when I am older hahah. Now I just workout semi-heavy, ,but just enough to keep mass and good movement. A Guan Dao is a type of chinese weapon evolved from the " Horse Cutter " which was used for cutting legs off of charging horses in battle. Has the cutting power of a sword but the weight is distributed at the blade like an axe. Super fun to train with. That mostly sums it up for me. I just weightlift , train with my polearm and get drunk with friends and get crazy haha and play ESO with a friend at launch. My favorite ES race is NORD plus I am related to WIlliam the Conqueror who was the great grandson of Rollo the great viking and duke of normandy. I have to play NORDs haha.

If I could poll this thread I would....

Hands down most honest, most positive, most meaningful thread I've seen on these boards in the 3 short months I've been looking at them. Thank you all for who you are, what you are, and who you'll be. I'd hate to meet you in Cyrodiil, but if I do I'll probably still try to kill you....unless they implement cross-alliance chat.

I"ve been gaming since I can remember. I'm 38 now, so that pretty much encompasses the entirety of gaming history. I've been a RPG gamer for the majority of that time as well. I remember playing Adventure on the Atari 2600 and beating it as many ways as I could. (First action RPG, I believe.) I've written several papers on the history of gaming, though none have been published anywhere that anyone would've read them. Heh.

I plan to still be playing when i'm 80, though I *refuse* to get cyber implants.

Forgot to give much respect to the OP in my recent post. Well played, old boy. I never would have thought to ask such a simple question...

Let's see if we can get this to the 200 post limit.

This thread also kinda points to the fact that a guy who mows lawns for a living can play, have fun, and be friends with a guy who has a college degree and a high paying job. We're all equal in games. Perhaps this is the future for true equality: gaming...

Say it with me "Who loves TESO? We love TESO!"

I mow my own lawn, and I"d mow yours if you paid me enough.
