Where are you now? #8

Etta is retiring, in her own way.

Having terrorized Cyrodiil on her rise through the Dark Brotherhood, debased herself in service to Sheogorath, and finally redeemed herself by devoting herself to the Nine and defeating Umaril, she performed one last adventurous service, by closing an Oblivion Gate at Kvatch and helping to liberate that city (she knows nothing about Martin, or all that.)

When last seen, she had put all of her worldly goods into a (respawning) chest at the Priory of the Nine, and was heading west, towards her homeland of Hammerfell, wearing her only possession, a monk's robe.

@glargg

A nice sum up on Etta and I really like her "ending". Will she never be your travelling companion again?

One never knows. She's my favorite character, for sure. The possibility is open for me to restart her, as a wandering monk. But I'm going to let her go home for a while. Hammerfell needs her. :)

Congrats! That is a good place to wrap up her story. Etta deserves her chance to ride off into the sunset.

Aela, recently left her home in Eastern Cyrodil, just south of Cheydinhal.

She walked south down the Yellow Road, until she came to Imperial Bridge Inn. She met a rather strange Altmer there, who needed help retrieving some notes he had dropped in a nearby cave.

Following the completion of this quest, she continued south, until she came to the small settlement of Blackenmarch, after some theivrey, and chatting, she decided to head north again. Travelling up the Yellow Road, until she reached a fork. She decided that she would turn to the West, since it is very cold in the north with very few trees (which she does not like, being a Bosmer).

She came to the town of Pells Gate. Where she stayed the night.

In the morning, she continued to head south along The Green road. She went around Bravil, since she does not like the clutter of the major cities.

Along the way, she found a medium sized Alyeid Ruin called Bawn. It was much fun for her to clear the Undead that lurked inside.

After this exciting clear, she felt tired so she slept in a nearby camp called Bawnwatch Camp.

She can be found there now planning her next adventure.

Lothran scouted the area around Chorrol yesterday and was glad to once again see the beautifulness that is The Great Forest

Oh I hope Tara gets fully fledged! Delphine is pure awesomesauce and I'm sure the spell she teaches Tara will be well worth it. Perhaps something like 'Buildings Blowup' or such. I hope Willow is being cooperative and not creating magical mischief that Tara gets blamed for. :wavey:

Tara completley agrees with the fact that Delhine is super fun and awesome! Delphine has offered Tara a powerful shock spell which is strong on impact and also does 10 seconds worth of damage; but she won't get it until she gratuates and becomes master of Destruction. Tara now has to think of a name for her future spell. She is thinking 'Willow's Storm', just to keep her feiry companion happy :P

Why do you quote me without the reference and without writing something of your own?

Edit: I see you do this elsewhere too and if I see it again I′ll notify a moderator. Behave, please :stare:

Today Lothran went into Hammerfell to see what′s what. But like in Skyrim there wasn′t much to do and no one to talk to, so he soon went back to Cyrodiil and Chorrol again.

Evidence of his Hammerfell expedition can be found http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1345962-even-more-oblivion-screenshots/page__view__findpost__p__20562037 :)

Aela, decided that she would test her luck in the realm of the madgod.

she successfully killed the gate keeper and is on her way to speak with a Sheogorath.

I think he may have screwed up trying to quote - but maybe not - he only has 18 post.

Agreed, I doubt he's intentionally 'stealing your words' ...

Could be, but he does it elsewhere too and he doesn′t write something of his own. Of course it may just be a mistake, I just thought it was a bit too weird.

True, but c'mon ... We play the elder scrolls, we see plenty of weirder things in a daily basis! ;)

Currently sat on the Madgod's throne in Shivering Isles, because I'd just completed the quest line and I'm getting my first taste of royalty

My decrepit avatar and his traveling companion are in Skingrad, their planned evening stopover destination. Having gotten a decent night's sleep (at the local Fighters Guild hall) and gulped down breakfast they will soon resume their patrol of the Gold to Anvil.

Etta is retiring, in her own way.

:wavey: I hope Etta enjoys her time in Hammerfell.

Skarsgard is at the Border Watch Inn. Some of you might have seen the picture of him being http://i1122.photobucket.com/albums/l528/Lady-Mara-2/Skarsgards%20Quest/Skarsgardbathes2.jpg as he tried to bathe. He's been attracting what feels like every darned mudcrab in the water between Bravil and Border Watch.
There weren't many patrons in the Border Watch Inn, but the proprietor's friendliness made up for that. She offered him all sorts of food and drink, and Skarsgard tried some of the http://i1122.photobucket.com/albums/l528/Lady-Mara-2/Skarsgards%20Quest/BorderWatchInn.jpg he'd heard about. As it was raining heavily he rented a room there which was basic but very satisfactory. He feels 3.5 out of 5 is a fair mark for the Border Watch Inn, the extra .5 because the owner was so interesting.

Skarsgard is heading to Leyawiin next. He heard there's a mixture of rich and poor houses there, perhaps the inns will be the same, he's never been.

You know...I was almost certain I had never been to Border Watch ever with any character of mine until I looked it up. That's the place with all the cat people, right? I've probably only been there a couple times, then. It's a nicely hidden village. I forgot all about the cheese, too.

My decrepit avatar and Vilja are holed up in Anvil, having finished their patrol of the Gold and distributed mercantile packages. They debate what to do next.

Went by there the other day after finishing the MQ. Was taking pics of my companion in front of all the country inns, but Border Watch Inn didn’t have a sign out front. Those cats are real friendly. Oh, and the cheese draws rats, and cats like rats!

My decrepit avatar and Vilja are once again holed up in Skingrad where they spent the night, this time on the return trip from Anvil.

Their original plan was to ride more or less straight from Anvil to Weye, with no prolonged stops in between. It would have meant a late arrival home, but no so late as to allow insufficient sleep. The elements were against it. A fine mist settled in not far outside Anvil. This thickened into a soupy fog. Then the rain started. Gentle at first it soon became a torrential downpour. By the time they reached Skingrad enough was enough. They decided to call it quits for the day, tethered their beasts outside the east gate, entered the city, changed into dry clothes at the Fighters Guild, dined at a local eatery, and retired to the Fighters guild for a decent night's rest from which they have just woke.

Jeelius Lives! That makes me very happy. Amarie Srinna now has the item and is on her way to the place she needs to take it, generally, you know? :D The new adventure in Cyrodiil is going well and we'll see what happens after that. Dungeon crawling is a favorite thing and Amarie hasn't done very much of it. She loves enchanted rings and amulets and anything she can find. :tes:

I'd like to see a few of those pictures, if you haven't posted them in the picture thread already. It sounds similar to what my character Skarsgard is doing, visiting every inn in Cyrodiil. I take a photo at every one, though not necessarily with the sign. They make pretty cool postcards!
