An re-introduction is probably in order…
Silvonwe is a character with whom I was privileged to travel a couple of years ago. I mention her occasionally; she began as a lowly Alchemist, apprentice to Sinderion. She learned, and grew, and advanced through the Mages Guild. Eventually she became Archmage. She's also the "Hero of Kvatch," a fact that she's nearly forgotten, since she left Martin at the encampment there, never telling him about his situation.
Silvonwe is an Altmer, born under the sign of the Apprentice, a Master Conjurer, a near-Master Alchemist, and an Expert Illusionist. She uses no weapons. (She is level 18, with a Strength of 31. She's a "glass cannon." She's also the highest-level Dead-is-dead character I've ever played. She has been very lucky.)
Recently Silvonwe was sleeping in her quarters, when her dreams were interrupted by a vision of Azura. "Foolish Mortal! Do you believe that Mehrunes Dagon has gone to sleep, as you have?"
Silvonwe answered, "Lord Azura, I have seen in my viewing glass, that nothing but sorrow will come from acting as the Emperor wished, and that the land will be laid waste by Oblivion Gates opening everywhere..."
Azura raised her hand. "So short is your sight. Time is everything to you, and nothing to the immortals, and yet you waste it so. Dagon works as you sleep. His armies strengthen with each passing day. Where once you would have faced a troop of scamps, there are now high dremorae and atronachs. Soon a vast army of Xivilai will stand ready to invade Mundus. There will be no Gates; the walls of Oblivion will fade away, and Mundus will be eaten by the Deadlands."
"Tell me, foolish mortal; what do you think will happen when this mortal Martin dies, and there is no longer a living Septim?"
As Azura faded away, her last words echoed in the chamber. "Act now, Mortal. Awaken and act!"
The rising sun spiked into the Archmage's chamber, and she sprang from her bed. She donned her robes, and her protective rings, and her magic Bag of Holding, full of potions and herbs. She paused only briefly at her Altar of Enchanting, charging some clothing with spells of elemental shielding.
She glanced at the Bloodworm Helm and Staff of Worms on the table. No. She would not take Mannimarco's way. No matter what.
Silvonwe is bound for Kvatch.
