Eileen is back home in Skingrad, taking a break, after hoarding several sigil stones making sure the road between Anvil and Skingrad is free of horrible beasties from the Realm of Mehrunes Dagon.

She's going to enchant some gear, probably Black Hood, Black Wide Pants, Dark Shirt, Leather Boots/Bracers and a Light Iron Shield, then get back to business. Perhaps a quick trip to Arcane U. in order to update the 'ol spellbook; since she's going to be killing yet more legions of Daedra, she ought to fine tune things a little.

Tonight Lothran reached Harlun′s Watch just outside Cheydinhal. As usual it′s his need for wandering that brings him to his destination, and the longing for seeing places he hasn′t been to for some time. Immediately upon arrival in Harlun′s he took care of some shady business which...

Oh, nuff said. Or I′ll probably see the bad part of his Dark Dagger :o

Outside Kvatch currently, She became a werewolf in town last night, and after beheading her Guardsmen, she just needs some time to explore the world, and find a cure. It wouldn't be fun to be countess when all your citizens are dead.

Anborn, the new Madgod of the shivering isles is taking a leisurely stroll through his realm on his way back to mundus, after discovering a prophecy that one of his descendants will play a crucial role in Skyrims fate within the coming centuries.

My Wood Elf, Elinroth is in the mountains outside of Skyrim. He's on the run and wanted by the law, so he fled north to seek refuge in the caves.

This night Lothran entered the gates to Cheydinhal. He first visited the two inns, his favourite one The Newlands Lodge, and then proceeded with a stroll around town before taking a rest in the Mages Guild.

The most recent addition to my game is http://i54.tinypic.com/6omujo.jpg. She's the first character I've played from a custom race I put together and unimaginatively called Little Elves. She's 0.85 height and 0.80 weight, which makes her a bit shorter than a male Bosmer and quite a bit lighter. The male Little Elves are 0.88 and 0.85 - still smaller than a Bosmer, but not as dramatically so. I shifted the face gen toward a decidedly Oriental cast and gave them bonuses for speed, intelligence and agility and penalties for willpower and strength. She actually started out with 25 strength. With a fair amount of effort, she's gotten it up to 32, but since she's given up entirely on melee weapons, it's undoubtedly going to stay right there. They get +10's for Acrobatics, Illusion and Sneak and +5's for Mysticism, Blade and Light Armor, and they have a greater power that's roughly similar to Adrenaline Rush, though with less bonus for strength and health and more for speed and agility.

So... that out of the way.... Hanna is currently on her way up to Bruma for her first visit, to get a mages guild recommendation and... whatever else might crop up while she's there.

Calonderiel, Altmer mystic archer is currently on the top of the arcane university, killing guards for no reason. Except for that it is funny.
:flamethrower:

EDIT: Wylenteriel, Altmer Battlemage is in Vilverin, Sal Sacremathi or something, and cant find the way out. He's a bit low on health potions, but why does it matter when you got magic?

Well, isn′t she a doll

She is that, which is why I had to show her off. I apparently did a surprisingly good job setting up the presets in the construction set (first time I'd ever done that), since her face came up on about the fourth randomization. I turned the tip of her nose down a bit and narrowed her chin a bit and that was it - aside from that, she's exactly how she came up by random. Well... except for the hair, which is courtesy of Ren.

Hope she′ll have a good time in Bruma and ask her if she′ll tend to Lothran′s house while she′s there ;)

Well..... with respect to Lothran, I'd be more likely, if I were to give her any suggestions regarding him, to suggest that she avoid him. ;) Not that he's a particularly bad guy - just that he's particularly a guy. I'm pretty sure she's a bit naive (though I haven't played her enough to determine really), so I'd be more likely to take a sort of fatherly stance with her, which would preclude suggesting that she go to Lothran's house. In either case though, we'll have to see on her next trip back to Bruma, since she's already gone anyway. She did the recommendation, chuckled a bit at Jeanne alternately summoning a three second scamp and paralyzing herself, set her own 20 second scamp on Raynil Dralas and mixed that up a bit with some on touch shock, spent a night in jail with Jorundr, set another scamp and some weak fireballs on Tyrellius, and beat it out of town. I got the impression she didn't like Bruma much, which was a bit odd. I really like Bruma myself, which, try though I might, tends to filter down to my characters, but she just didn't seem to care for it at all and left about as fast as she could.

In any event, she's now in the Waterfront Shack, catching up on her sleep. She was waylaid on her way back to the Shack and ended up promising some vampire hunters that she'd do some investigating for them, and since she was on her way to Cheydinhal next anyway, that should work out well, but she doesn't seem to be in any great hurry to get started.

That′s totally fine, but I can assure you that Lothran has no 'intentions' whatsoever but making friends. He does have an eye for girls that′s true, but ask Buffy (one of his now dearest friends) and I think she′ll tell you that Lothran is not someone who needs to be avoided :)

Eileen is still in her bedroom in Skingrad, mulling over what to enchant with the stones she's gathered.

...And so it happens, just as it always does... A character reaches the precipice of becoming what they were envisioned to be, and UnclePain becomes... kinda bored. I'm always far more interested in the journey than the destination.

Well, I know where this adventure has been left off... it's a clean break, and I can easily pick it back up again if I choose. I'm not going to start another Oblivion character anytime soon. Eileen is my gal... but i think I need to put her down for a while.

What I think I'm going to do... start back up where I left off with a certain Poisoned Paranid named Tupmanckolanks, in another time, in another universe... at least for a while. There's much for him to accomplish that hasn't been, even by anyone before, so he shall endeavor to do so.

There's also the further adventures of Rafflesia (my FO3 character) to consider; Yes, she's the namesake of one of my Oblivion characters. Every bit as deadly, and perhaps even more so (she has a Deathclaw Gauntlet backstab fetish), but she has yet to explore any of that universe's add-ons. Uncle paid for them, and wishes to poke around in side of them, at some point.

TL;DR version: It's been fun, Y'all, but I think I'm done with Oblivion, once again, for a while. There's new stuff coming, and old stuff still waiting, so I really ought to clear my backlog.

I'll say this much about Oblivion: It's almost the ultimate distraction. It may not present as "deep" a world as Morrowind's, but it sure gets you caught up in its moments. I've spent countless hours picking ingredients, wandering the backcountry, etc. in this game, generally getting nothing "done", but still having a great time, just playing my character, and being in the world.

I'll be back. Someday. :)

My Imperial Ranger, Skylark, is sat outside of his home, White Stallion Lodge, watching the rain, and saying hello to the passing Imperial guardsmen. Life is sweet watching the world go by. :tes:

Ah the poisoned Paranid start...that was HARD! Excellent series of games though.

I know what you mean though. Once your character does what they want to do, it's often like "Umm...now what?".

Helena is currently in Cheydinhal, after having recently obtained Azura's Star (for the second time).

I phrased it wrong, mirocu. Nowadays I spend many an in game day doing absolutely nothing of importance with Helena, like strolls on the beach at Anvil, or reading books in the Guild Library. But when I first got into Oblivion, I roleplayed rather differently. Marching my character through a script, as Acadian would put it. That's when it got old, because I had nothing to do once my characters reached their predetermined goal.

Now, I don't have any goals for my characters! They do what they want xD

Oh, I see :) Actually I reacted the way I did because it didn′t sound like you, even though I don′t know you that well :P

I find that doing what the character wants, for mine it′s not doing quest after quest, is the most rewarding way to play this game

You were correct though :P It's nothing like me at all >.<

I second that opinion. I get bored doing quests constantly. I'd much rather sit back and help Helena through the most epic quest of all, life. [/cheesy].

On topic though, rumour has it that a highly dangerous Renrijra Krin agent has been transferred into the Imperial City prison, awaiting execution for treason.

Lissa is currently in Anvil being nursed back to health by Maelona.

The day before she was exploring an Aylied ruin and just barely escaped death after a surprise attack from trolls. She cant remember how but she made it to Anvil just in time.

She is ok, but she's staying in town for a couple days to recover: a recovery that is speeding along due to a thoughtfull 'get well' gift by somebody very close to her heart :)
