Eileen is still in her bedroom in Skingrad, mulling over what to enchant with the stones she's gathered.
...And so it happens, just as it always does... A character reaches the precipice of becoming what they were envisioned to be, and UnclePain becomes... kinda bored. I'm always far more interested in the journey than the destination.
Well, I know where this adventure has been left off... it's a clean break, and I can easily pick it back up again if I choose. I'm not going to start another Oblivion character anytime soon. Eileen is my gal... but i think I need to put her down for a while.
What I think I'm going to do... start back up where I left off with a certain Poisoned Paranid named Tupmanckolanks, in another time, in another universe... at least for a while. There's much for him to accomplish that hasn't been, even by anyone before, so he shall endeavor to do so.
There's also the further adventures of Rafflesia (my FO3 character) to consider; Yes, she's the namesake of one of my Oblivion characters. Every bit as deadly, and perhaps even more so (she has a Deathclaw Gauntlet backstab fetish), but she has yet to explore any of that universe's add-ons. Uncle paid for them, and wishes to poke around in side of them, at some point.
TL;DR version: It's been fun, Y'all, but I think I'm done with Oblivion, once again, for a while. There's new stuff coming, and old stuff still waiting, so I really ought to clear my backlog.
I'll say this much about Oblivion: It's almost the ultimate distraction. It may not present as "deep" a world as Morrowind's, but it sure gets you caught up in its moments. I've spent countless hours picking ingredients, wandering the backcountry, etc. in this game, generally getting nothing "done", but still having a great time, just playing my character, and being in the world.
I'll be back. Someday.
