Where can I find human breathing sounds in the CK?

Post » Mon May 06, 2013 9:27 pm

I'm making a sound overhaul mod for myself. I've already changed hundreds of sounds with better volume. Birds, winds, insects, water, etc... have a higher volume, while the insanely high magic sounds have been lowered in volume. It's basically like Sound Propagation Overhaul but without any new bars in the UI.

However, I haven't been able to find the human breathing sounds in the CK (the panting sounds you hear when you run and sprint). I can't find them under the sound NPC section in the object menu list. There are breathing sounds for creatures there, but not for humans. Does anybody know where I can find them?

Thanks!
But where in the topic info window (double click on object in the misc tab) can I edit the volume of the sounds? I can't even find a reference as to which sound it uses...

Edit: ah ... I double clicked on the object in the response text mini window, and I can now see which sound it is. DialogueGeneric__000E320A_1
But I can't see any volume button. Where can I change the volume of specific dialouge sounds?

To alter volume of dialogue sounds you'll have to extract the fuz from the bsa, extract the xwm from that, then alter the volume in a sound manipulation program like Audacity, then pack it all back up. Except audacity specifically can't handle xwm so you'd need to convert them again to wave, alter them, then go back to xwm, pack into fuz to overwrite those in the bsa.

I.e. you can't just do it in the CK.

Daamn I hoped that wasn't the case... :(
No time to get into all that fuzz now, but perhaps later I will try. Thanks for the help!
