Where can I find morrowind 2011?

Post » Fri Jun 17, 2011 11:28 pm

Hey guys, gonna dust off morrowind once again, and I remember seeing this mod morrowind 2011. It looked really great, with the lighting effects on the water, and the jungle look around seyda neen, wow thats the best I have ever seen morrowind, not to mention balmora too! I guess Morrowind 2011 combines many good graphic mods into 1, which is pretty cool, makes it easy for the user I guess, since I know its a pain to get all the mods you want to work proper.

Anyways, could someone point me to the right place where I could download it? I really think it would bring the game some new life for me.

Also one more question about the mod, does it also affect solstheim and tribunal content, or is it just for morrowind.

Indeed, highly recommended if you're looking for an easy to install compilation that looks very pretty.

It's not exactly the same thing as Morrowind 2011 but that situation is complicated... You're better off with Morrowind Overhaul either way.

Hmmm, while that one does look good, it doesnt look as good as the morrowind 2011 one, expecially the water effects from the sun etc. I think the mod you showed me is good but it doesnt have the overall atmosphere of the morrowind 2011 one. I read about the morrowind 2011 hassle, and although I bet this has been discussed to death, I just want to say something.

I think the modders who complained and threatened to sue even should be totally ashamed, as it goes against the very reason why poeple create these things in the first place. Do you create these things to get a pat on the back and feel some sense of accompishment in your meager life? Or do you create them for other people to enjoy. Morrorind 2011 looks beautiful, no matter what you can't deny that. Even if someone didn't ask to use my mod, I would be flattered that it was used in such a compilation. If you need to sue someone because you are that butthurt over your name not being mentioned, then you are pathetic, since someone putting you mod in a compilation does not debase your mod, nor you, it only does such a thing if you percieve it that way.

No ifs ands or buts, thats ridiculous that people threatened to actually sue over something that is free that they are not supposed to be able to profit off of. /Rant over

Anyways, now that is out of my system, thanks to those who responded. While that mod does look good, I would rather try the Morrowind 2011, if anyone has a link. Thankyou!

Morrowind 2011 is not a good pack, even ignoring the author's complete disregard for getting permissions for the mods he used. The author made several poor decisions in which mods to use and absolutely failed to make a pack even close to being worthy of it's "2011" title; hardly any of the great graphics enhancing mods that came out in 2010 are in "2011". What that means is that 2011 was an outdated pack even the day it came out. It's not worth using.

Alternatives? My guide, in my sig. The Morrowind Sound and Graphics Overhaul. Puvuholo's ToMorrowind. All of these will get you fantastic results, far surpassing that of "2011".
