Where can I find unenchanted non-armored Gloves?

Post » Thu May 31, 2012 2:14 pm

All,

I have a mage who is going light armor and alteration, and I want to enchant some gloves to match my ensemble (Black Robes, Black Boots, Silver Ring, Silver Necklace, Silver Circlet).

The only Gloves I have found that are not armored (I want my alteration perk bonuses) and not already enchanted are the crappy brown ones that are sold in the store in Solitude.

Are there any other non-magical black ones out there, or even a silver bracelet that counts? Or will I have to live with the Brown Gloves?

Thanks!

The ones in solitude are random most of the time they are unenchanted. And I don't know of any black ones, only the brown ones

I've only ever seen brown gloves... sorry. There might be a retexture mod for them, if you're on PC.

For the record, your subtitle brought a smile to my face. And that is radical.

Are you going for Cloth/Light Armor?
I just hit level 17 and have not seem a Cloth Glove with higher than 1 Armor so far. I'll let you know if I find one.

FYI, I've added all of the gloves to my inventory using the console (for the same reason you're doing, I wanted nice gloves for my mage that didn't clash with her robe). The only ones that are sort-of black-ish are the Thalmor Gloves. I seem to recall being able to enchant all of them, but some of them wouldn't let me rename the enchanted item, in case that makes any difference to you.

Go to Dawnstar. In the house of the guy who gives you the Mehrunes Razor quests... He has a display case with clothing in it. The gloves are unique looking and I believe they are enchantable and unarmored. The case is easy to pick open, and it will respawn after a period of time. So, you can steal them and enchant them. Then go and steal them again later in life when you are able to enchant them stronger.

You can also, usually buy regular brown unarmored gloves at the clothing store in Solitude.

i can't remember what color they are, but I think the assassin's guild uses black and some of the ones you pick up are not enchanted.
