Where can I get an eyepatch and a suit?

Post » Wed May 09, 2012 1:19 pm

Really stupid question I know, but I'm trying to play a fairly "good" character and I've only seen eyepatches on NPC's, but I don't want to necessarily kill them just for an eyepatch.

Can't get the eyepatch without using mods on the PC.

:cryvaultboy: That makes me a sad Panda. Suave Mcdermot (my character) was made for an eyepatch! Is there any other good suave wear out in the wastes?

There is the http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Pre-War_Businesswear. There are two types, grimy and dirty. They can look pretty suave.

One type in New Vegas. Someone botched the skins so they both have the Pre-War Dirty Businesswear skin :(

Yes, there's really no reason why they couldn't have made eyepatches wearable. Fortunately; if you know how to reverse-pickpocket, you can acquire the suavest suit of all from The King:

That's exactly what I was thinking, his suit is by far and away the coolest in the game.

Nice! Do I need a high level pickpocket to get it?

It helps. Also find an armour with a DT 6 or higher (The suit the King wears has a 5 DT), save just before you do it, then reverse pick pocket the armour, leave the building, come back, save, pickpocket the King's suit, enjoy. (A stealthboy also helps)

The best suit in my opinion is Vera's Dress (it turns into a suit if your character is a dude) from Dead Money. That and Viva Las Vegas are the classiest.

Sneak is -mercifully- all one skill, there is not pickpocket. As Colonel Martyr said: if you aren't a stealthy type then you could use stealth boys. You'll need two: first off use a stealth boy, sneak and open The King's inventory and place a piece of armor with more than 5 DT into his inventory (Leather Armor comes to mind as being cheap and available). Leave the building and wait a full 24 hours then go back in; he should be wearing the armor so use another stealth boy and open his inventory again; you should now be able to grab Viva Las Vegas. Voila, suavest suit in the Mojave and with a 5 DT it's also by far the most protective.

No worries, I got it earlier. I have pretty good sneak and I luckily found a stealth boy at the rocket factory place. It's a cool looking suit, I'm going to wait until I have a better gun to wear it though. My basic hunting rifle isn't killing anyone quickly, so I'm dying a lot in it.

A nice classy sidearm would go really good with it, maybe think about getting A Light Shining in Darkness or Lil' Devil. Either one of those would work as a mainstay weapon.

Light in Shining Darkness, and Maria are the two that immediately come to mind.

There's an eyepatch and suit store in the eyepatch and suit area in New Vegas. :D

Alright, you guys sold me on Viva Las Vegas. So i'm rocking that suit, Vance's Lucky Hat and Authority Glasses. Vance's 9mm SMG is a very nice addition as well to the outfit.

I think I'm going to try and get the top hat from that guy in the luxe too. I reckon that would be cool with Viva Las Vegas. Benny's suit is also pretty suave.
