Where can I get the Construction Set?

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 11:55 pm

Recently I downloaded Morrowind from Steam (Steam being so convenient and such), and I decided I wanted edit some things in the CS. But I can't seem to find it anywhere. I did some research and read that it came with Morrowind, but I don't have it, so I'm assuming that it comes from the Disc version. Is it even possible for me to get the CS? If so, where can I find it?

If you're getting the usual ones (dialogue index issues), those aren't problems. They're related to the expansions not being designed to be loaded together. There may be a few fixes hanging around, but you can just enable the YesToAll option in your INI and skip over them safely.

You can also hold Enter for a while, because after clicking Yes to All you will not be warned at all when someting goes wrong when editing/making plugin.

Holding enter will hide those errors too. :P

My main problem with the holding-enter technique is that there are some single-button fatal errors. Yes-to-all won't hide fatal errors, they still show up so you know why the CS is crashing. Holding enter will automatically hit the button on those, so the CS just vanishes with no apparent reason. Granted, it doesn't happen often, but it can be a bother if you do find one.

Plus the whole holding enter bit, instead of going to get a tea while the CS loads. :foodndrink:
