Where can I safely store items early in the game?

I'm surprised no one offered me a room in Goodsprings after choosing to save them from the Powder Gangers. Ed-E doesn't hold any faction armor and I'm tired of running around with extra luggage I'm not yet ready to sell.

Use Victor's Shack in the beginning.

Then, later on, you get a room at a hotel that you can pay for or get for free if you help some people in another town. Some use that Hotel Room for the rest of the game.

You stash stuff anywhere you want to, containers don't respawn in these games. The only thing you have to be concerned about is an NPC might go into your container and remove something. So just find a spot where no one is around. I used to use the Goodsprings gas station, after the gunfight, but these days I just use that trailer behind the general store. Or the Bison Steve would be a good location once you've killed off the convicts.
