Where can I upload/download Oblivion plugins/mods?

Post » Tue May 25, 2010 5:31 am

regarding the first (main) post: could you please put a star (*) next to any site
on that list that DOESN'T require you to "register" before downloading?

I (and millions like me) am so tired of having to Register again and again and again
at every ((*$&*!&)) website and forum on the internet....

especially just so that we can download a small MOD file....

Thanks for considering.

Register (it's free) on a site like TESNexus, it's fairly straightforward to upload a file.

MadPauly,
So nice to see you here! Are you going to be upgrading your fantastic Morrowind mods into Oblivion mods? I hope so .... aren't you the person who made the rabbit ears? Or am I thinking of someone else?
Anyway, as soon as your name comes to mind - so do quality, unique mods ... so I can't wait to download your Oblivion ones!

Apparently this thread is no longer being updated since no one has changed TESSource to TESNexus but here is another site with about 1000 oblivion mods http://www.strategyinformer.com/pc/theelderscrollsivoblivion/downloads.html

Edit: to poster above, currently the only way you can obtain that mod is to install it on another OS and then transfer the files over.

The OP needs to be updated, but anyway it's http://www.tesnexus.com/ now (for those who don't know).

Hello again,
I want to announce the grand reopening of http://www.gamersroam.com! You will have to register, it is free, only because it helps me to keep track of who is visiting and from where. There are no subscription fees, no hidden fees, and no upfront fees. There are forums available and a host of other options. If you would like a place to park your mod while it is in the modding and testing phase I will provide you with your own private forums to discuss and collaborate on your mod. So please feel free to head on over to http://www.gamersroam.com, sign up, post on the forums, and have a good time. Thanks!

And I know a french website named "Wiwiland" ( http://oblimods.wiwiland.net/ ).
Here, you can found lots of original mods in french or translated.
OK, this mod is for the peoples who have a french version of Oblivion, but I think there are french gamers of Oblivion in this forum... (I'm french !)

So, thanks for the author of this nice list of websites for the Oblivion modding ! This list is great ! :goodjob:

Tons of mods there now and growing everyday we offer free hosting for all mods.

We also don't force people to register to download but we do require to upload.

Great speeds hot linking allowed!

I can't see how you missed us too hehe since the release Oblivion we been quite big. We use a forums type format makes it easyer for the people who upload and even download with search functions..

I only comes to a mmorpg forum, no oblivion...?

The link: http://www.oblivionsource.com

Thanks in advance :)

Let me now if there are any problems ;)

Did you contact the author of every mod on your site and request permission to host them there? If the authors do not know they are there, they certainly wont be around to support those mods or update them. Not to mention the inherent bad reputation you will get as someone who uploads the work of others without bothering to show the simple respect of asking for the privilege first. There are some mods by some very big names on your list. For example, you have Open Cities and New Roads and Bridges on there and, as Arthmoor is one of the authors, and from his post above, I'm betting you didn't bother asking his permission or that of the other authors first. :stare:

Why not give links to the legitimate download pages for all those mods, rather than usurping the authors right to host and maintain them themselves? That is more than acceptable and a common practice and does not infringe on a modders rights to his/her work nor require you to ask permission to link to the legitimate download pages.

PM sent. And I echo WhoGuru's sentiments. Bad form to put stuff on another site without asking.

I have a couple tutorials to add (by me)
they are all meshing tutorials:
- http://www.squidoo.com/nifexport (Blender and max)
- a few more in progress which I'll add to this list when they're done (they're listed on my list of tutorials too) so if you have need for a tutorial that is not there PM me (or post on one of those tutorials) and I will see if I can do up one.

and all are listed on my list of tutorials and (just guessing but) I am thinking that given the rest of this thread that (if any) would be the page a link to that would be put for on the first post?
it is http://www.squidoo.com/PMOblivionTuts
