Another question.. I killed a rat with soul trap on it and it said i trapped a soul, i understand i can rechearge weapons with the soulgem, where do i see if the gem is full? How do i use the gem?

Just look in your inventory and mouse over the soul gem. It will say if it is empty or not. To use a filled one, just click on it. It will bring up a list of your magic items that are low on charges. Select the item you want to charge with the gem, and viola!

Soul gems are on the last page of equipment, with the scrolls and repair hammers. It tells you there whether they are empty or not.
Just click on a filled one, a list of your magic weapons and their charges will come up, just click on the weapon you want to recharge.
