Where did my downloadable content go?

Post » Mon Jan 04, 2010 5:56 pm

When ever I "try" to continue my game, it freezes up on me, and then if I try to manually load a game from the main menu screen it pops up with an error "This save game relies on downloadable content that is no longer available. Some objects may be no longer available. Continue loading?" I can click Yes or No, Then it pops up "The storage device you selected is no longer available. Load Canceled. WTF is this [censored]!!!!!

lol sad but true.

i have the same problem after 37 hours into the game, but i have spoke with one of the developers and he said there working on the issue but unfortunately paches and updates dont fix things like corrupt files but he did say hang on to the saved files because their is a chance they might work after the patches, and no i didnt get a dead line or any idea on when these patches will be finished or released.anyways hoped that helped n im am definitely not thrilled about starting over but i have seen an EXP glitch in vault 11 that just might make it worth it after the patch but idk i really want my save file im way too far in the game just to start all over again :(
so mainly we have to rely on chance that it will fix our save files

I love Morrowind.

Fallout New Vegas, Fallout 3, and Oblivion all stand on the shoulders of Morrowind.

And Morrowind stands upon the shoulders of Daggerfall which stands upon the shoulders of Arena. And Arena owes its ground-breaking RPG-First Person integration to Wolfenstein 3D.

I've played Arena and Daggerfall, but I didn't mention them because the hardware back then couldn't fully realize the sprawling open worlds Bethesda wanted to create. The first Xbox allowed them to create Morrowind and it was the first game of it's kind.

Morrowind was released on PC before it was released on XBox.

Ok the Xbox console and PC improvements from '96 to '02 allowed them to create the 3D world in Morrowind, I didn't realize we were playing "Who knows more about Bethesda?"

A third title in the Elder Scrolls series was first conceived during the development of Daggerfall, though it was originally to be set in the Summerset Isles and called Tribunal. Following the release of Daggerfall, it was set up around an SVGA version of XnGine, which Bethesda later used in Battlespire, and set in the province of Morrowind. The game was "much closer to Daggerfall in scope", encompassing the whole province of Morrowind, rather than the isle of Vvardenfell, and allowing the player to join all five Dunmer Great Houses. The blight was conceived as a dynamic force, progressively expanding and destroying cities in its wake. It was finally decided that the scope of the original design was too grand given the technology current at the time. According to Ken Rolston, something was said approximating "We’re not ready for it, we don’t want to jump into this and fail". The project was put on hold in 1997, as Bethesda went on to develop Redguard and Battlespire, though the project remained in the back of the developers minds throughout this period.
