Where did everybody go?

Post » Wed Mar 30, 2011 4:10 am

ive been wondering something for quite a while now and im sure there is no answer for it yet but lets say i go on a murdering rampage and kill off a whole town. no the according to the quest system a relative or close friend of the quest giver will come up and offer it. is this infinite? or is it only a one or 2 time deal and then your screwed. also what about the normal people? will their houses just stay empty or will more people come from no where to fill them? will it be like fable and i have an infinite supply of people to take those who have been killed place?

If you kill off the entire family, the quest will be asked by someone else and the parameters will change. E.g. it will be the son of someone else, instead, that you need to rescue.

Actually....if Skyrim is going to be true to form as Morrowind was.

You CAN kill everyone and thats it for it.

The only thing that annoyed me about Oblivion is that you werent allowed to kill certain people who were questgivers and such
Which i thought was unfair, as we SHOULD have the choice to destroy our own destiny

This is supposed to be the greatest Sandbox game ever created.

and i get that but how many times will that happen? is it infinite or will it disappear after killing the quest givers a few times? you know make you suffer from your stupidity... or insanity.

To answer some question: the crime system will be harsh if you go on a rampage you will be in deep [censored] apparently

malavok you have a misconception of randiant story it will not happen for every quests you might lose that quest

sufferthorn i talked to pete hines on twitter and there are still invincible NPCs related to important quests

Yes, it's true that you should have the choice. But it was done like that because maybe someone else could kill them. In Morrowind people didn't move, but in Oblivion they did, and sometimes, for some strange reason, they decided to atack a guard, signing their dead sentence. Suppose that Martin was killed by a guard, for example.

Anyway, I don't remember clearly if in Fallout there were assential NPCs, but if there were, I'm sure they were less than in Oblivion. Hopefully, the tendency will go on.
