where did the ghouls from come fly with me go?

Post » Thu Dec 15, 2011 7:02 pm

ok ive looked all over and cant find anything. the nearest thing i think it could be is either one of the nuke sattelites from 3, or the hole from 3 that the aliens in zeta made. but what do you think?
ps it would be cool if the sattelites were the case cause they could send you "back up".

They crash-landed on Nirn and got into a brawl with some dark brotherhood assassins.

Somewhere far out in outerspace, an unknown planet in an unknown system. They never said exactly, just referred to their journey to 'the great beyond'. I doubt they have a clue, they're just launching themselves into the great unknown on the basis of their leaders' blind faith that they'll find a place out there. Where else would that be but some other planet in the universe? Not getting into any freaky multidimensional or metaphysical spiritual BS to try to explain it. Of course, with only rocket-based propulsion and no faster than light technology, they'll just be dessicated corpses floating through empty space for the next few million years, but that's fine with me. Ghoul idiot fanatics.

They went somewhere with so much radiation it would kill Chris Haversam, I would say Mercury or Venus but those might be too hot.
Moon might be possible since there was talk of weaponizing space for Star Wars (not the film franchise) so it might have happened in Fallout as well.
Or... Mars? But it isn't radioactive right?

So yeah I'd say Moon, Venus or Mercury, considering they make it back in time for the Legion assult on Novac.

They still have to breath air and eat and drink.. So I doubt it was another planet or the moon. Possibly just some other place on earth. Or like the hubologists of Fallout 2 they were trying to get into space simply because they were crazy, but unlike the hubologists the ghouls had better equipment and were able to do it. So it is possibly they are all dead in their rockets orbiting the earth lol.

No way they made it to space. What they were attempting to do is a precise science, and nearly everything must be perfect in order for nothing to go wrong when leaving earth's atmosphere.

1. The ships were too old.

2. The fuel and energy source was inadequate (fuel from toys? Really?)

3. Their projectile angle was off (looked like they were going in a virtual straight line).

4. None of them had any sort of experience with this kind of thing. A one man ground control isn't going to get you anywhere.

In conclusion, they crashed no matter what the PC did. And being the morons they were they deserved it.

They went to the Moon, then they realized how lame it was there and came back. At that point they were like: "we should probably go help that town over there".

anyone saying somewhere on earth, the hole the aliens on mothership zeta what you think of that and the guys saying in space, how does the orbital nuke platforms from fallout 3 sound. bear in mind theyre ghouls not anaerobic. also just thought werent the old government/enclave preparing a evacuation of earth plan. its been a while but didnt he say something about the place or co ordinates coming to him in a vision or dream. maybe he stumbled onto the operation or was originaly working on it, lost his memory and 210 years later he remembers. anyway i think they (in the fallout universe) are the most likely. i say fallout universe cause it cant be an already existing planet that would be to normal for fallout. or else it could just be 50 miles north and the rockets are a rite of passage in his wierd cult. who knows?

They crashed somewhere else in the Mojave and went back to Novac, helping them after the Legion attack.

They are mutant freaks strapping themselves to 200 year old rockets, probably in prototype stage, launching themselves to an undisclosed location in the most unstable launch in space history.

Even if they made it to another planet, they could never land. They could never return to earth.
And I refuse to believe there is some space utopia called Far Beyond or whatever that is. It would be even worse than MZ's aliens.

EDIT: If we are assuming they just land a few miles away, it takes all the point from the quest. And how massacring the ghouls will have Novac massacred as well, I'd say it's one hell of a lousy quest forcing the player to help those idiots to protect a group of humans who have nothing to do with it.
