Where did you buy your game?

Oh yeah because it costs nothing to run a digital download service, and to pay for download servers and their maintenance, and the vast broadband. So games should cost next to nothing because that extra money is not helping them maintain their service at all.

M'aiq doesn't mind digital, but he prefers having a physical just in case.

If Steam or any other Digital Download sites somehow shut down, all of your digital copies are... Gone. Unless Steam releases a patch making it possible to play your games.

I didn't say they should be free or "next to nothing" but yes it costs less to buy a server and hire a couple IT guys than it does to build a factory, manufacture a game and then ship it all over the world. And on top of that, you don't have to pay people to sell the game either, like you do in a brick and mortar store so you have less costs incurred that way as well.

If you're American, you have absolutely no right complaining on game prices of you're referring to Steam.

A game that on US Steam costs $50, costs 50 euros in EU Steam. The $1 - 1 euro conversion is insane.

I pretty clearly said I was referring to XBOX Live. I only play on 360 and have never bought anything on Steam nor will I ever. But, if it costs the same amount to buy a digital copy of a game on Steam as it does a physical one than thats a rip off too. At least in my opinion. If you use Steam and like it, I'm very happy for you. Personally, I prefer buying physical copies. To each their own.

But yea, a 1 to 1 value for dollars and euro's is kind of crazy. It seems like they'd realise how much money they're losing by charging stuff like that.

1st copy was pre-ordered from Gamestop.

Dawnguard was purchased through x-box live

Legendary edition was purchased at Wal-mart

^^ 360...

When I get my pc I will get a physical copy, NOT because I hate steam, but because my internet svckS! and I would never get it downloaded.... one little update for my husbands i-phone 5 took 7 hrs overnight. I'm not kidding, less than 25kb in update(s). Generally we go into town to do updates.
