Where does the story go from here : Fallout Series Discussion

Ok, this is not much of a spoiler but it might be to some, so take caution.
At the ending of Fallout:New Vegas there are 4 possible endings, each with a very drastic effect for post war America.
What I am wondering is, what ACTUALLY happened in terms of Canon, did the NCR win? did the Legion win? Where does it go?

I sincerely hope that House is the Canon ending for Vegas. His independent New Vegas faction would provide some interesting new developments.

Somehow, I view house trying to expand, getting far into then eventually getting spread too thin, and losing it all.
Much like I think the NCR will eventually, if they don't continue to recruit.

Well, I want Legion to win but I highly doubt that.
It'll probably be either NCR so that they can drag the dead horse on a little longer or it'll be House.

IMHO, I think it will be the NCR with the way things were geared for them mostly, i do not see it likely with how similar the endings were for a house or independent ending. As for the Legion, i doubt it, as Canon endings are usually the good endings with the Fallout series. Again, i could be wrong, but we will see..... :thumbsup:

I'm hoping House, and maybe they could mix it up a bit with the Courier using Yes Man to spy on House and they are both banished north where they begin their own country (with the Boomers and other faithful followers of the Courier)... That'd be nice.

As I've said before, I think the NCR ending is most likely canon. Mostly because the NCR seems a lot like the U.S.

I would be inclined to say House whom they seem to be setting up, think about it. If the NCR lose, meh, they've got you know, all of California and such. Legion if they lose they just have all of Arizona to fall back to. Both factions can die with out even losing there respective leaders whereas House...

Well I was thinking the NCR seeing how they were favored and made of with half of California but now after reading the post above me I'm inclined to believe Mr. House will be Canon. Afterwards I see the NCR moving to take Northern California including San Francisco. But I highly doubt that there'd be a game about that.

what about the yes men ending
he was the best ending for good side and in past fallouts like 1 and 2 they ended as good. so to me the good is cannon and yes men is good

The NCR ending will probably end up being canon; even if it doesn't the NCR would overtake Vegas eventually anyway, so by the time we hear about Vegas again it'll likely be under NCR control one way or another.

Not true, they'd probably have an uneasy treaty for many years allowing citizens to freely visit the Strip until the NCR goes completely bankrupt, in desperation they'll attack New Vegas in a very unorginanized fashion. After many attacks, that New Vegas' powerful military force holds out, the NCR's main attack front will collapse and they'll have to force almost every advlt citizen to fight. That'll lead to a civil war that the NCR has to end while having House pushing into their territory. That'd be an excelent game.

Hopefully the Legion. That way we have a largely powerful 'bad-guy' organistation, leading to a massive fight with higher stakes further down the road.

That works out too actually depending on what happens to what faction. The Brotherhood of Steel is most likely gonna patrol I-15 :sadvaultboy: because they are too loved to be taken out even though they weaklings. The Boomers and the Kings would get the good endings and who knows the rest

It'd be pretty random but I wouldn't be suprised if Obsidian wrote it in if they get another spin-off (JK)

I love Talon Company and hope they have a big part in F4 and maybe F5, just don't make them the big bad guys. Working for the big bad guys sure but not them.

My bet is it's going to be House, that way, all sides remain "contenders" for the short future. So NCR goes back to cali to lick it's wounds and reorganize then vote in a better regieme, LEgion retreats back to there state as well.

I object to any and all statements saying that Talon Company is anything but Neutral, because the have no hidden agenda, they just do what they are hired to do, good or either or otherwise, "Just doing my job."

The game seems to be geared in favor of the NCR so I would guess that they would win. Tho I honestly wish House would win becasue an independent Vegas would be the most interesting.

At first I thought NCR would be canon, but having recently played a House character I'm inclined to say the House ending will be canon. Not to mention I believe the House ending will make NCR stronger, Oliver and Kimball will most likely be taken out of power and they are still getting power from the dam, albeit having to pay for it.
