Where have all my stiffs gone?

Post » Tue Dec 13, 2011 6:34 am

So my necromancer had a house full bodies in whiterun, which, since the games launch, I have used as a storage place for dead thralls. They have always been there. However, since the latest update. They are gone. And any I try to store there from now on vanish too upon returning from a fast travel.

Can you no longer do this?

You can't get stiff because the dead bodies have gone? :wtf:

Or... the bodies are cleared after a month like regular dead bodies in the world.

Either way... wtf..

How so?

I did try using chickens as dead thralls, but they kept getting killed.

Oh, and "stiffs" is a slang word for corpses. For those with a limited vocabulary and a disgusting mind.

You're storing dead bodies in a house like some sort of [censored] up necrophiliac. . .

You should see a doctor about that. A lot of necromancers have that issue with their stiffs. They usually recommend cithanatos.

Don't take, if you take nightingale for chest pains. Call your dark lord immediately if your stiffs are down for more than four hours, as that could be a sign of a more lively condition.

And be sure you are unhealthy enough for necromanical activity, before taking cithanatos.

LOL, I'm not the one keeping a store of dead bodies!

Just a joke, and the fact you took it seriously makes me go WTF even harder.

Yes but turning your house into a morgue is really messed up, especialy when you're planning on building an undead army.

I think it's cool that you did that :P

I can't really answer your question as to why they keep disappearing, though. probably just another bug that comes with the "patch".

Lol

I think the patch notes stated something about the clearing up of stiffs now functioning correctly. So if you patched up then that is the most likely cause.

I'm prettu sure bodies just dissappear after awhile. An in game month sounds about right.

And lol at the people thinking it's perverted. With the amount of people you murder in this game, the fact that you keep a few trophy bodies around is really minor comparatively.

Some of you really make me wonder.. :shakehead:

I get where you are coming from. Having your collection of powerful thralls going missing when in slumber mode is going to be a major annoyance.

If you resurrection them, does that reset the 30 day limit?

I am sure we can all have our stiffs in storage when the CK is released. :)

I want reusable ones, too! That doesn't disintegrate when I poke them..

If i ran into a strong character Id dead thrall them, then store for use another time. Atronachs are better at certain things but get stuck in narrow dungeons. So id use dead thralls instead. Trouble is most are pretty weak.

If you fast travel a lot over large distances, its going to eat up those 30 days in no time so make sure you water your thralls every once in while.
