i just bought the house in winterhold but now i cant find it anywhere. Ive walked all over town and can't find the house anywere. im also pretty anoyed that i spent 12,000 on a house that i cant find. does anybody know if this is a glitch or is there something that im missing.

In Winterhold? Or in Windhelm? I know there's a 12k house in Windhelm...

After you buy a house, there's actually a miscellaneous quest to visit it, so if you turn that on, the pointer will just point the way

The house in Windhelm is also part of a quest. Can you buy it if that quest isn't done? I don't want to go into specifics because it is spoilerish.

I haven't bought a house in Windhelm, but I've bought houses in several other cities and haven't had any trouble finding them. You should have been given a miscellaneous quest called "visit my new house in Windhelm" or something like that. Follow the arrow to your house. If you weren't given a quest, walk around the city until you've filled in the local map and then hover your cursor over each house and read it's name. If you haven't visited it yet, your house should have something in parentheses after it's name (something along the lines of "your new house" or "visit my house"). EX: "Breezehome (visit my house)"

Yes, and it's supposed to be a 'workaround' to get that quest started if it's bugged in your game.
I haven't tested that yet personally, though. :confused:
