Where do humans come from?

Something that the recent Psijjic [sic] "complaint" thread has reminded me of is that I'm not entirely sure where humans come from. The Altmer (and all mer, in some way or other) claim descent from the Aedra, but do humans do the same? I'm aware that Talos is the "Aedra for men", but I wasn't sure whether anyone ever claimed descent from him. The other potential candidate is Akatosh, but he seems a bit too keen on dragons to have humans as his creation.

Thanks!

Shor/Lorkhan. Nords and Elves tend to agree that Shor and Lorkhan are one and the same.. Elves just look unkindly on him. While many humans consider him a patron of sorts. Shor is the god responsible for creating (or setting in motion) the creation of Mundus, and by extension, men/mortals. Elves consider him a Trickster god (Lorkhan oddly looks a bit like "Loki"). He tricked the other aedra into bringing this plan about, which, to put it simply, killed most of the gods and lessened the life of the once immortal elves. The surviving Aedra are now what are known as the Divines. They killed Shor off, leaving 8 divines. Talos was just a man, who it's been said the divines allowed to fill Shor's "empty" spot in the pantheon, making him the new 9th divine. But he has nothing to do with creation. As I pointed out, he was once a man himself. Some say he still is.
