Jyggy is hiding in the DLC, waiting to get his second big break.

I want to throw this in real quick. I think the Jyggylag thing was a farce. The Grey March was just Sheogorath trolling lol. He did to play on the Champion of Cyrodiil's pride/hero complex so he/she would matle him. It was nothing more than that. Just my two cents. :shifty:

"The reasoning behind his appearance is to lead unsuspecting mortals down the path to insanity, or "the Golden Road" Food for thought

Also I know I'm probably wrong about all this, but I feel like there could be something to it. lol

Arden-Sul, yeah. But...even so. I can't, or rather I do not wish to accept that Jyggalag was introduced as a character only to disappear without any real explanation. It's only been 200 years, in any case. When Arden Sul mantled Sheogorath, it lasted for several thousand years.
Time is a construct of Akatosh. His power is limited to Mundas. As such, without powerful chronomancy, you can't have anything more than the appearance of linear time in Oblivion. Arden Sul is still Sheogorath, yet was only him for a second.

I know, but acknowledging that weakens my point.

Why would he turn back into Sheogorath? The whole point of the Shivering Isles was to break that cycle.

This was my understanding of it too. It may be wrong, and if it turns out that way in the series later I don't mind, but there we go.

Don't agree with that theory at all.

Me neither, but it would be deliciously mad if it was true.

My theory: Order is Stasis is Nothingness/Anu - meaning the moment the greymarch cycle was broken and Jyggy crystalized into being, he also simultaneously ceased to be. He zero-summed. His existence disrupted order - so he vanished to maintain his sphere. Something like that. And maybe his vanishing retro-actively contributed to the instability in the realms of oblivion and even the mundus, allowing mehrunes to invade, the greymarch to occur, and Azura's realm to be cut off. It's a theory in progress.

What I am almost as curious about is Dyus. Dude was smart enough to predict Talos and Numidium, and only failed on predicting the CoC's ascension due to a miscalculation. He says that the Champion of Cyrodill will release him, though the way he phrases it (" I remain until the day that Sheogorath -- or rather, you -- choose to release me. And we both know when that will be...") may be taken as sarcasm. Dyus is probably the most intelligent being who isn't Hermaeus Mora. If he gets out, whoever gains his knowledge would become master among Daedric princes. Not counting those like Sheogorath and Sanguine who don't seem ambitious enough.

I figure he's claiming new void-territory and perhaps creating a new plane. Or taking void-territory from some other Daedric Prince.

He is not in the game so there is no blatant slap in the face of people who didnt want their coc to be sheo. Hes left out so both partys the ones who believe their coc is sheo and those that dont are both happy as in theres no hatd evidence either way. Theres stuff there to imply that sheo is coc to make people who want their coc to be the most powerful daedra prince and hes not in the game so people dont have any hard proof their coc is. Hes not in the game so both partys can be happy.

I don't think he cares much about mortals. He had his grand ambitions before the Mortal Plane was even formed and will be probably continuing them. He didn't care about mortals than, he doesn't now either. If we ever visit a settled place in Oblivion we may hear about him but doubtful we will hear about him much on Nirn.

Just put a mirror in front of "J"yg and we have old "L"yg.
So yes if Sheograth is having his tea party with Aka/Aedra/Mundus, meanwhile Jyggalag is hiding with Lorkhan under the foot of a mountain that no longer exists, perhaps right in the craziest of places where the Leaper Demon King plots to jump high. And yes that's where the twin moons rest in those two years, right in the perfect ordered case of non-existence so that even Sithis cannot take them back.

If Sheo is the "Sithis shaped hole" that was made when Lorkhans divine spark was sundered, Jyg is the diamond-shaped hate that coalesced when Akatosh was ripped from Auriel.

The Thalmor would have nothing to do with the daedroth. Its an insult to their character!

Ladies and Gentlemen, please...you're forgetting the power of symbols! Remember that the Champion only became Sheogorath through Sheogorath's rod (a symbol), yet also Jyggalag gave the champion his symbol - the Sword of Jyggalag. Then there is a certain quest in Skyrim with a daedra and his dog...slay Barabas and he'll respawn eventually. Pretty much Skyrim supports Lady Nerevar's thesis that he'll still respawn eventually.

BTW, did it seem to anyone else that Sheogorath seemed rather sane for a mad god during his daedric quest? Well, other than vacationing in the mind of a mad emperor.

He doesn't necessarily have to be directly helping them. But just because the ones he's backing despise him doesn't mean he doesn't share their goals.

Lady Nerevar's theory is not that Jyggalag will respawn, but rather that he will eventually be reabsorbed into the Sheogorath personage. She suggested that in breaking the Gremarch we did not cure Jyggalag's madness so much as delay it.
