Where is Mr. New Vegas?

Post » Fri Dec 10, 2010 1:24 am

OK, I've been searching for this crazy old man since this game came out. Where in the heck is Mr. New Vegas located? I think I've discovered almost every location though there is at least one I can't get to.

He's only on the radio. The wiki says he is an AI (artificial intelligence), not even a robot, so he may just be a computer program, with no physical form.

outta curiosity, does it ever actually explain that he is an AI in-game?

Well, you'd need a computer to run the computer program and a fairly massive broadcast tower to cover the whole Mojave wasteland.

Seems so inconsistent as compared to FO3 where you get to meet every radio broadcaster.

there are some good suggestions here. Obsidian and bethesda need to take note.

I would like to add my dissapointment of new vegas. i want:

Texas Hold'em
more shops (a mall perhaps?)
more going on.
more secrets
Poker tournament
it needs to be one BIG section, not 3.
more action within the city, casion on casion action (kinky). u can decide who takes vegas between house, benny, omertas, and white gloves.

Also i want some kind of non-gameplay breaking or non-story breaking multiplayer. I want to be able to be a spotter with my binocuars while my friend snipes.
more to do, watlenand is to empty.
more random stuff like patrols.
more story pieces like termianols and notes in buildinngs and stuff.
something memorable like blowing up megaton.

more cool non-main story stuff liek the dinwich building and the killer fire ants from greyditch(?)
cool city designs like rivet city (very clever). why not put liek a city on a volcano ors omething?

I was just thinking about that. I liked how in FO3 you actually had, two different factions, competing over the air (with two dog telling it how it is, and Eden running his mouth off with propaganda ). The Tabatha quest was worthless. She attacked me, I killed her, then walked away thinking "that was lame". Doesn't draw you in to the whole picture/story of the wastes like FO3. Just my opinion.

I noticed that New Vegas needed more radio stations. More diversity on the air.

The NCR has been there long enough for a station for example. Where is the classical station? Etc.

Yeah I wondered that as well.

I also wondered where Mr. New Vegas was, but didn't bother to care as much. probably Wayne Newton's ghost.

Even if Mr. New Vegas is nothing more than an AI program ... someone has to input the latest news into his database and the physical computer that holds his AI program has to be physically located somewhere. I don't remember seeing a Mr' New Vegas computer next to Mr. House.

I don't like how ever station played the same songs. It'd be cool to have certain radio stations prefer certain songs.

That's what I meant by diversity. Different stations should be playing different music.

Mr. New Vegas is an automated AI routine that's running on House's supercomputers inside the Lucky 38. House created Mr. New Vegas. It's his radio station.

I can go with that explanation. So perhaps the Lucky 13 itself is the broadcast tower. It is one of the tallest structures in the wasteland.

It would be funny if Yes Man took over as DJ after uploading himself into Mr. House's computer.

Mr.New Vegas WAS a real person probably before the war,but Mr.House probably took a voice clip or something from the real Mr.New Vegas, and used that voice like a Microsoft sam,it reads what you type,or in this case with Mr.House, what your super PC sends it.
