Where do our Robobrains brains come from ?

Post » Wed Mar 30, 2016 12:35 pm

Except for the fact that you don't have access to the technology or the techniques required to do that. If the Mechanist, who is infinitely better with robotics than our characters are, had to use the pre-war brains found in the facility, what makes you think you can magically do it?

Like I said, headcanons (Which mean nothing in terms of the actual story) aside, the correct and most logical answer is that we are using the brains in the facility.

Haha, nah it's cool I actually understand how you feel.

That being said, a super mutant controlled robobrain would kinda be frightening

Pretty sure that the brains used came from all the people turning up at settlements looking for a place to live. Based on how they spend so much time just standing around staring at walls, walking into walls and doing brainless things like climbing onto a 4 story roof etc. They do not seem to actually have a brain in their head or are at least partially lobotomised.

All of the equipment is in the facility, it could be a little of both. Some from before the war and some after.

Depends on the characters, my Scrap Queen used Ivey's brain for Scrubbing Bubbles. My Omnidisciplinarian doesn't have a Robobrain at this time but she'd either track down the banished Justin Ayo, use the snatched wastelanders who get replaced or just synthesize Gen3 brains.

It would be kind of cool if you had to actually have a brain to make brain bots. .. and you could salvage them from any creature/person you killed in the wastes. You could make ghoul-brain bots, dog-brain bots.. and if you didn't have a brain on you, you would run the risk of giving the brain bot your own brain. "Oops, you are now a brain bot.. have fun continuing your journey as robot."

Now there is an evil option! Something a 1950's movie would do.
