Where to Purchase the Originals

Post » Sun Jul 03, 2011 10:22 pm

Ok, I have read a lot about F1 and F2, 90% of my knowledge is from the wiki and the rest of it is from here.

I have decided I want to buy it but I do not want to get it online due to me not liking to give out my address on the internet. Does anybody know if stores like Gamestop or Best Buy still carry it? If they don't and there aren't any stores that do then can somebody tell me where they are sold online?

At my Best Buy I have seen FO and FO2 in the clearance rack of the computer game isle, on one of the ends. Also you should be able to find the Fallout Classic pack, I see it all the time at my Target.

If you have steam, you can get it online, and download it online, no address needed.

Both http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/fallout and http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/fallout_2 are on sale at GOG for $2.99 each, and since that is a digital distribution service I don't think you need to give them your address.

http://www.bestbuy.ca/multimedia/Products/300x300/101/10152/10152787.jpg is the boxart I see @ my Target, I would think Best Buy or Wal-Mart would have it, but like I said, see if your Best Buy has a "low price" end on the computer game isles, I have seen games like FO, FO2 and Assassins Creed there (10 bucks for Assassins Creed! geeze!)

Steam is free, and when you get a game through it, you gain access to the Steam community, which is really cool, plus you can access the steam overlay in-game, search the internet while in a full-screen game. Plus Steam has tons of sales almost every day, we're in the middle of the Summer Sale, i picked up Shogun 2 for like $20!

Thanks!

I wonder if getting TF2, since it is free now, will still unlock the Steam Community.

Apparently the Fallout Collection is on sale for $9.99, if Best Buy's more I'm getting it on Steam.

I love Steam and it's constant sales, community, and just how sixy it is.

gog.com also gives extras in its games too like for FO 1 & 2 you also get the original sountrack you can download from them as well as stuff like wallpapers, avatars, artwork all included with the purchase, steam is good too. I know gog.com has no DRM not sure about steam though.

Not sure if you have a fry's where you live, but fry's electronics use to sell a combo pack with fallout1/2/tactics when fallout3 was announced.

I would recommend buying them at GOG.com cause then you get a bunch of extras. I bought 1/2/Tactics in the same box from Wal-Mart for 10-20 bucks tho.

I would suggest steam also. It's almost too convenient. I just repurchased the originals and am going to start Fallout again since it's been 12 years since I've played it. I've forgotten too much from the originals and need a refresher.
