I'm White-English. Native. Britain has a large population of Polish, Arabic, Indian (especially Indian, obviously), black, American and European people living there. The majority of which work well and several are good friends of mine. I could never think of them in a negative or racist way because they are good people. It's the 1% that give the 99% a bad name.

Britain has always been a cultural hotspot of the world (like New York, Paris, Milan etc.) and thus always gets a LOT of international traffic. I've been raised to think that everyone who is a good person and is willing to work well, be a decent person and not break the law are good people, regardless of race/culture/creed etc.

EDIT: By the way, I'm not at all threatened by other cultures in my own. British culture is a mix of the entire world. It's what happens when your empire goes all over the world, things from the frontier come back home. I was born and raised in a multicultural society, and it's endearing to see so many different peoples living together peacefully. Gives me hope that people like you are now more few and far between than, say, 20 years ago.
