Jacob 'Black Dog' O'Tell- Retired to Rivet City, where he took up a job cleaning and repairing guns for Flak 'n Shrapnel. A true mercenary at heart, he spends most of his time down by the Water Merchant Pickup, chewing the fat with the caravaners on their way in from and out to Project Purity... that is, when he's not dead drunk at the Muddy Rudder. His days of wandering behind him, he eventually found himself tutoring CJ Young and James Hargrave in the art of 'Wasteland Scavving'. When he eventually bumped into Tammy Hargrave, his young pupil's alcoholic mother, the two of them very nearly came to blows. Deeply flawed, and quite dysfunctional, the pair have made something of a 'minor' improvement to their lives by remaining together.
Dr. Julianna Caine- Her efforts eventually paid off when, after years of research and experimentation, the Ridgefield Electrical Power Plant was restored to life. Instantly, the Brotherhood of Steel became interested in her work... and before long, she and Elder Lyons were involved in the makings of plans for a 'reconstruction effort' of the Capital Wasteland's power grid. Hundreds of man-hours (and woman-hours, too) have been spent repairing and replacing ruined power lines running to and from the desolate wasteland villages of D.C. It wasn't long at all, however, before Doctor Caine found herself wanting to find another challenge... a new problem to solve... and so she left the Metropolitan Power Project in the capable hands of the Brotherhood of Steel.
The latest accounts place her somewhere in Old Olney, accompanied by a small army of armed mercenaries. When asked about her current work, all she would say is that 'Olney had a power-station too! I plan to find it... Deathclaw or not!'
Jamie "Boomer" Rodriguez- Boomer's Boomsticks flourished over the years, eventually becoming even more popular than Flak 'n Shrapnel's. By 2279, 'Boomer' Rodriquez had completely removed himself from the wasteland scavenger gig, and instead taken up the full of his attention with running his store. In July of 2282 however, an on-the-job accident cost him his right eye when a keg full of gunpowder ignited behind his shop in the Rivet City Market. Although medical response was quick, there was nothing that could be done to save his eye... and they were forced to remove it. In light of this turn of events, Boomer decided it would be best if he retired... giving his shop away freely to Flak 'n Shrapnel, with whom he had become close friends in their time as 'competitors'.
Retirement only lasted so long for Mr. Rodriguez, however...
On January 2nd, 2283, Jamie Ramone "Boomer" Rodriguez entered the Weatherly Hotel for his evening meal. While there, he got between owner Vera Weatherly and a rather vicious slaver by the name of Sister. When Sister pulled his gun, Boomer pulled his faster and shot him dead. Rivet City Security took him in for questioning... but ultimately Security Chief Danvers was rather impressed with his attempts to resolve the situation fairly. After some coercion, she eventually convinced him to take her old job. By the end, he knew he had found the perfect line of work for him.
He had also met Lana Danvers... the woman who would eventually be his wife. Theirs was a relationship which endured the public eye and intense scrutiny of an entire city, and one which would empower them both to do great things for that city once they had earned its full trust. As Rivet City continues to grow and build, so too do the burdens of daily life for the Danvers-Rodriguez family. With one young son, and a second child on the way, daily life is a drastic change of pace from the usual violence and struggle for survival which encompassed his youth.
And for him... that's just fine...
Loomie- Life was harsh, violent, and short for this wasteland ruffian... the child of parents who were but children themselves, and who perished as violently and painfully as they had lived. Like most raiders... she learned from a young age that nothing in this life comes for free. Be that payment pain, food, or flesh... one does what one must to survive... and survival was something Loomie became very good at. As a young girl, she learned how to move quickly and quietly... how to stalk prey... how to stalk a mark... how to tell an easy bloodbath from certain death. When she was old enough to carry a gun, one was thrust into her hands without lesson or explanation. Learning was a matter of -survival-... and survival is something that a raider learns through blood, sweat, and tears.
By the time she was fourteen... Loomie had killed two armed caravaners, a slaver from Paradise Falls who tried to steal from her tent, and at least a couple dozen rival gang-members whom had attempted to encroach upon Evergreen Mills territory. At sixteen, she was a rival to any pre-war marksman... and one of the most affluent members of the 'Central Five'. Madame, the oldest member of the Five, took a particular shining to her. Running the Evergreen Mills Brothel afforded Madame the kind of power which most male members of the gang only wished that they could wield... and it was her sharing of that power with Loomie which cemented their bond. Rumors of their being 'romantically involved' are difficult to substantiate for any outsider... but one can surmise what they will from this simple fact: Where you found one, you could most certainly find the other.
At seventeen, Loomie found herself both a respected leader, and an expecting mother.
Her son, Rascal, was born a scrawny... screaming... bothersome mess of blood and tears and writhing. She resented the child, at first, as something which would divide her attention away from protecting her people. She also feared that if she were seen to be showing the child too great a deal of attention, it would be seen as a sign of weakness. Madame was the one to see this conflict within her... her natural instinct to mother the child... and her survival instinct to wash her hands of the burden and be done with it. In the end, Madame proposed that perhaps it was time for a new way of doing things at Evergreen Mills... and so the child found itself the unwitting subject of a madwoman's doting affections.
The story ends here, however... as the author was not present for much longer after that. Once his business was done, he moved along to the next market. He heard rumors of a bloody assault launched upon Evergreen Mills... instigated by some nameless wanderer... by means of the radio, only. Whether any survived, such as Madame or Loomie... he never did learn.

Whelp... that's it, so far.
We'll see what new stories I make once I get FOOK2 and MMM to work properly.
