Just a thing I've been wondering for some time - in which provinces is Talos worshipped the most?
Now, I know Talos is, metaphysically, Shor/Shezzar/Lorkhan reborn, back into the mainstream, popular pantheon, reclaiming Lorkhan's place in the divines. Obviously, in Skyrim Talos/Tiber Septim is particularly revered. Probably Cyrodiil, especially the Colovians, is also respectful of Talos. But what about the Redguards and the Bretons? There's no point in discussing the elves, because they all have their codified beliefs. The beast races also are pretty distant, culturally, from Talos.
Now, the Bretons I'm quite curious about because of two reasons. Firstly, Lorkhan already is present in their pantheon, but in a vilified form, as Sheor the Bad Man. Second, the Bretons, as far as I know, are more practical than religious. They can be very superstitious, true, but generally they don't put too much value into religion. I think the third edition pocked guide described them as very cautious of excessive religion. Of course, in High Rock, particularly the Northwest, there are a lot of nord-friendly Bretons who, in temperament, have more in common with the Nords than their Daggerfall and Wayrest counterparts. So I'm really not sure if the Bretons, on average , care too much about Talos. It seems they just care for the safety of High Rock, and don't mind the Talos ban too much.
The Redguards? I really don't know much about their religious views. Are there a lot of Redguards worshipping the Divines, and would they take Talos to heart?
And finally the Imperials - would it be just the Colovians, or perhaps the cyrodilics as a whole?
Thoughts?
