where is the exe. file located?

hello, i need some help here.

where abouts can i find the exe. file for new vegas. i brought it from the shop and installed it on computer. i have a alienware m11x, with nvidia optimus thingy.
and i need to whitelist the game but can see no exe. file anywhere.

any help would be greatly appreciated,

Steam/Steamapps/Common/Fallout New Vegas

The Steam folder is where you installed Steam obviously. The default location is in C:/Program Files I think.

oh, i dont have any problems finding where the game folder is located. its just that the file dosnt come up as an exe.

i think it may be a problem with nvidia optimus itself...

I did not install from Disk, but maybe the EXE is not downloaded until you Activate the game. If some software on your machine is preventing that, do a clean boot to activate it. Or, perhaps the EXE is there, but not availible until it is unencrypted by the activation. Perhaps it is a hidden file right now.

As for the Optimus program, all that does is give you a profile for a game. Not sure as to why you would need that, unless you want to force AA and use HDR (which may not be driver ready yet, check with Nvidia's new driver release notes). Other than that, you do not need to tell Optimus about this game.
