Where is the gore?

Post » Wed Dec 07, 2011 2:03 pm

I want people's limbs and [censored] getting cut off... is there an option I did not select? Every finishing move I get is lame with no blood. I've yet to chop ANYTHING off of anyone!

You can decapitate people, but that's about it.

First of all, gore isn't everything.

Second of all, the pile of bandit heads I've made says that there's enough gore in Skyrim.

Go play fallout, the Elder Scrolls is not a place for mindless gore. That was Fallout's specialty :)

Go play Call of Duty.

Call of duty is not gory at all for a game about war.
Cod:WaW was pretty bloody though.

It was confirmed a long time ago that you can't cut of limbs like in Fallout and cant get limbs crippled.
EDIT: Just a optional decapitation.

Are you playing in Third Person view?

If you want to experience more gore you might want to try First Person view.

This can be really wierd for people who aren't used to it and because people are impatient they tend not to try it because it's not what they're used to.

However besides offering a potentially more immersive experience (as it looks like you're experiencing the game through your own eyes instead of following some character around) it also brings you closer to the detail of gore in combat.

Enemies bleed and you can make a mess and as mentioned above... decapitation is available.

Until I can cut someone's arm off and beat them to death with it, I will not be happy.

It is not the way of fantasy games such as this.
That's like if in Halo your can cut [censored] in half with an energy sword.
Not fitting.

Don't insult Fallout. Fallout 3 doesn't deserve the name Fallout.

"Where is the gore?"
In Fallout where it belongs. There is some simple decapitations, but thats about it. Over-the-top gore have nothing to do in TES IMO.

The bitter wisdom that one has not the gore one desires is without value. We need a mod to gore the [censored] outa this game. I want to rip people apart as a berserk orc warrior.

Yeah Im missing the gore as well. After a 10 min. sword fight in a house, the floor and walls are still clean as a whistle. I dont know if the models supports that limbs could potentially be chopped off, but I do miss blood on textures.
