Just this, graphics apart, what are the new things in Fallout 4? perhaps cooperative mode? destructible world? buildable world? new and revolutionary AI? Procedural anything? anyone know? thanks.

Soil erosion would be rad. Radiant AI is still my most anticipated since E3 demo.
Greetings...
...for that we have to wait and see. It will be amazing that the world could be destructible and a very intelligent and difficult AI also with the addition to go and actually rest in the floor while aiming with any weapon with a scope. And cover system.

There are many things that we might think and hope there are very innovating and for me is the gameplay mechanics as well, but we have to wait.
^ We have nothing but a trailer to go on. You can't write an entire game review and anolysis based off the initial trailer.
In the trailer it shows two NPCs in Diamond Square at a food seller. The one NPC (who is selling food) walks to the fridge, opens it, and then takes something out. I assume if the scene did not cut off there he was going to bring the item from the fridge to the other customer NPC.
I too am hoping for something a bit exciting for BGS first game this gen. Some sort of new awesome mechanic/feature.
The gfx didn't quite make it, but I hope this was due to some amazing/stellar gameplay feature we have yet to see.
The "innovative" features in Fallout 4 are under lock and key, waiting for Todd Howard to bring them out on June 14.
more often then not I find it麓s better to ask where the good gameplay before asking where is the innovation, because I found that if your strive for the former you get the good kind of the later, innovating for the sake of innovating often leads to the more infamous gimmicks in games.
We only have the trailer to go by, so based on that, I can safely say, "I have no idea."
Good eye. Could that be the revolution they were talking about? Their first working model of a living economy? NPCs would have an inventory and needs exactly like ours so they could buy, sell, equip and consume goods. Whatever we sell to the local market becomes available to the local NPCs for purchase. Sell a lot of weapons to the local market and suddenly the town is far better armed than it once was. Could also lead to being able to barter with any NPC depending if you have that certain something they are looking for. Taken even further trade between towns would als0 affect the local market. Would be a giant step forward for Bethesda's open world. Can't wait to find out.
I am sure they have inovated aka. "X is superfluous so we axed it." - Todd Howard.
I hope they innovated the mountains to climb.
I heard that x can do y now. Pretty cool if you ask me.
Yeah, but y is more or less the same as z so while it's cool it's not as cool as they hype it up to be.
I think they wanted to have x do y so that players that didn't want to invest into z could still do the same thing with x
No one can give you an answer. we have as much information as you do, a trailer... Everything else is just speculation.
Yeah, that's probably it, I get their intentions, but it doesn't really add to the replayability.
Destructible environment would be awesome!! Some sort of next-gen element needs to be added besides upgraded graphics which honestly, did not look overly impressive in the trailer. I am all about the gameplay, but those things do matter and add up in the overall immersion and gaming experience.
Yeah, the identical to fallout 3 art style threw me at first too but then i took a good hard look at the stills and low and behold...this looks like it's going to be Bethesda's most detailed game environment to date.
the innovation prob isn't gonna be in the graphics, its gonna possible be a HUGE world with a lot of interactable buildings and locations as opposesd to lots of closed up or walled off locations like in fallout 3, also maybe a near seamless world with far less loading screens, i would think replayability is a huge priority also so each time you play its not the same, its gonna be a true next game but i don't think graphics is the top priority its going to be in other areas, the massive size and complexity of the world.
I actually didn't notice the fridge. Gonna have to go look at the trailer for the 6,786,981th time.
I agree, destructible environments is something I've been waiting for.
There are a lot of still standing roof tops and high towers so I'm guessing FO4 has base jumping, oh yeah and you can finally get on top of roofs.
You will be able to get inside buildings without loading screens.
