Where's the pc love Bethesda?

We get the construction set, it's awesome. Thanks for that. Where's the UI, where's our better graphics since our pc's outclass consoles by a magnitude? Why do we have to make the mods to just turn off fast travel? 2/3rds of your sales of Fallout 3 came from the pc according to https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/wiki/Fallout_3 but we get graphics held back by machines 5-6 years old, that's not right. Especially the UI, 80% of pc users probably have a higher resolution screen than 1024x768, and we sit closer. We shouldn't have to make our own UI just to get it to look right.

Pc users are you're biggest market, can we get some of that attention lavished on the consoles over here?

Plus, that would save on our mod space if we didn't have to have UI mods.

Oh my. Spoiled as rotten pigs, some of you TES fans. Be happy you can mod at all, svckers. You're not on the console.

(on a side note, the console really isn't that bad.)

I thank the Holy Nine for a computer and the ability to add mods.

1. Because the people who don't want fast travel are the minority. You don't HAVE TO make a mod to disable it, you can simply, not use it. Duh.

2. PC graphics are not held back because consoles play games on medium settings at best. PC users can set them to the fullest.

3.Consoles can output resolutions up to 1080p. The individuals screen will very, but the common factor is that people are generally sitting further from their TV then PC users are from their monitor. So they have to make the UI bigger to account for this distance.

4. Saying PC users are the biggest market is laughable.

And this is all from a strictly PC gamer.

I agree completely. Clearly their oldest, most dedicated fan base are all PC gamers, so I do not understand why we are pushed into the dark. :(

There is a difference between "units shipped" and "units sold" you must learn this difference young padawan before your training can continue.

I don't see why pc players complain about the UI. What the hell is wrong with the UI? I really don't see it. It has well organized tabs so that you can navigate easier. Not seeing the problem. About the graphics, it inherently has much better graphics, I don't see why this firestorm of raging started, because we all know that the PC version has far better graphics than the console, enough said. Why do you have to make a mod to turn off fast travel when you can just not use it? Why don't you use a mod to turn off the travel network in Morrowind? Half the time it's useless because I can just walk the 10 minutes to the destination instead of having to walk the 12 min back to the nearest Siltstriders. Just because fast travel was mandatory for a world nearly twice the size of Morrowind and would've taken ridiculous amounts of game time to have to walk across Cyrodiil to a quest and walk all the way back. Hating a system like fast travel that is always useful and saying it needs to be removed in favor of a system from Morrowind that was useful half the time is just biased. It would always be nice to have high res textures made just for the PC but it's not mandatory seeing as how we still get inherently better graphics than the console.

Not surprisingly, I was unable to confirm those numbers which contradict all other reports i've seen.

I understand the graphics and not adding dx10/11 and high-rez textures....

But not formatting the UI is silly, even EA games do that.

Most UI mods simply change .xml files and don't include an .esp.

Laaaaaawwwwllll. Keep telling yourself this. It’s not even CLOSE to true. XD

EDIT: I would be shocked, absolutely SHOCKED, if even a quarter of sales of any multi-platform (360/PS3/PC) title went to the PC version. I suspect the reality is even smaller than that.

The only thing that angers me is the betrayal in the graphics department. Us PC users use good money to get the superiority not be inferior like the consoles.

PC love? You've got modding tools, sharper graphics based on your computer, and the console. Oh yes, the poor PC players...

What I want to know is why us PS3 players get the least from Bethesda.

I don't think you quite understand the issues here.

1. The integration of fast travel not only diminishes the overall immersion of the game, but also has many other ramifications as well, since the game is designed with this in consideration. Simply not using it or even disabling it isn't optimal.

2. Of course PC graphics are held back. Did you not hear them saying it will look more or less the same across all platforms? Even at highest settings I doubt the game will look as good as it could, considering PC is leaps and bounds ahead of consoles.

3. Yes, people do sit far away when looking at TV's and close for monitors. So all they have to do is make a proper PC-formatted UI for the PC version, which will actually be much simpler to make since they don't have to scratch their heads about portraying information and controller navigation. A proper PC UI should not be too much to ask.

4. Saying PC users are the biggest market is laughable is laughable

Not much games give better quality on different consoles.

Unless you count Anti-Aliasing and Texture Packs and Antroscopic (sp) Filters.

If you can find me one game where the quality differs ALOT from Consoles, My argument is invalid.

To add to my post, the funny thing about Fast Travel is that it's not even that difficult to appease everyone in this department.

They simply have to add a Morrrowind-like FT system and boom, problem solved.

2. Mods can help with that. Not to the fullest, but they can help a lot. ;)
Heck, the community always brings much better textures than the original game, for instance.

4. Wander inside a game store. Compare the space allocated to PC games in comparison to console games. Console games have the biggest market share, especially when we're talking about a cross-platform game.
