Or maybe the Crashed Vertibird,

I can handle most things in this wasteland, but when it comes down to Robots, I despair.
Paladin toaster helps when they're close, but running up the hill towards the crashed Vertibird is like walking the Somme. :(

Hmmmm, the most dangerpus place for me was on the wrong side of the slope at the Memorial on the outskirts of Goodsprings. Since fighting Giant Radscorpions at level 3 with a 9mm pistol everything else seems easy!

I got trapped in the shack, as a level 2, no companions, by 4 Radscorps! Needless to say, it was reload time

I got my butt kicked in the deathclaw cave, wandering in at level 6 or 7. Big mistake!

I'm level 30 now but I find Cazador wasps still quite a hassle (I don't use VATS), speedy little vermin they are! Concentrated in mountainous regions on the north west part of the map, I believe.

Off topic :
Hey, me too. My PC was at level 2, I just wandering around aimlessly and there I've found one big giant scorpion for the first time in this game, biggest one I've ever seen (in that time) and it was running at me!
I desperately fight back with only machete, but when my health was around 10-15%... Victor just come running and safe the day! (he shot me at the back 2 times though) I don't know why or how he'd done that because in 2nd and 3rd playthrough he didn't come safe my ass in near death situation anymore.

On topic :
I don't really care about where's dangerous since my PC is shady sniper. but there's somewhere I don't want to go in, mostly in vaults or caves.
Most prominent one is vault 22, I'm a bit of claustrophobia and spore carrier just scared me [censored]less at first when they came out of no where (they're actually on the floor, by the way), these combination always make me want to quit the game, despite higher level.

My most dangerous place in fallout new vegas:

1) Last battle at Legion camp (Not the front, but the last battle): First play through in Normal, none hardcoed I rushed through the game, at level 26, carrying a standard Hunting Rifle, no Hand Load bullets and wearing only a Reinforced Leather Armour, no other helps, just me, Boone and Rex in the camp, got stunned locked by the Ballistic Fists and bullets flying at me from a far, took about 8 reloading saves of different stages of the fight to get through.

Second play though, level 30 on Very Hard and hardcoed with Sniper Rifle and x1.5 DMG bullets, Vault 34 armour, with enclave friends, ED turned into Victor look-a-like, smooth and clean run, took out the Masked dude in two shots, still got stunned by the Ballistics Fists dudes, took about 2 reloads to get through that part.

2) Vault 34: Monsters are close to you, your companions runs off to find monsters, the place gives me a headache due to it's maze like design while you are looking for things, zombies making smoker's sound, constant rad+ and a rusted vault it's just not very beautiful to look at when you stare at it for a bit, no reloading saves but the experience was bad for me, I had to check on Wiki every step of the way to prevent myself from getting lost or need to walk back to collect things I might have miss. I left a weapon in there that requires 100 lock to open, don't want to go back for it.

3) That ROCCOP(something) Test Site, where you have to fly the ghouls to space, funny at first, but a lot of running back and forth, wired Ghoul glowing beautifully with a god-like voice that has a vision to somewhere in space that they might not even reached (suggested when you can improve their cource by 12.5% on a computer), sad and creepy.

Any deathclawas has been easy and disappointing to me. Very Hard +hardcoe @ Wind Cave where the part with a lot of them jump out around a crossed path (just before you turn in the L to see the legend deathclaw), took out the lot of them almost unscratched. The legend dethclaw moving around, shot him on the body instead of head, then he got stuck behind a rock while trying to rush to me, left him alone, kill his friends near him first, finished the rest of them with a few shots, looted some ned launcher and felt totally empty afterwards.

I dont think this question can be answered properly. Most locations have a very easy strategy to get through them or a flaw in their design. allow me to list a few.

Deathclaw Promontory: Climb up on a rock and suddenly the Deathclaws can't get you.
.

This place was a cakewalk. I sniped all but about 4 of the deathclaws from a LONG ways off. They never even came looking or me. I just climbed up on some rocks and popped them. Too easy. I haven't had ANY trouble with deathclaws in FNV. Unless you someone let one sneak up on you, I don't see how they can harm you. Cazadors are a little harder to hit from range. But a riot shotgun makes quick work of them too.

Fully modded 10mm SMG + lots of ammo makes that place feel like a stroll in the park. For extra fun drop a mine or two next to each door you cannot open (game seems to be opening them so that you always get ghouls behind your back).

i believe the white glove society, my first time in there i pick pocket the gaurd at the front for the key to get in "white glove room" or what ever its called, well it was all fine and dandy as soon as i entered i was being bombarded with gold club and was running around with boone and rex being. i had no idea where i was running to and couldnt find the entrance for about an hour lol.

remember this was my first time in there and had no idea where everything was so please dont judge.

also the quarry is pretty brutal

I have found that Cazadors in packs of 8 -12 are the hardest things to defeat on the game...I had around 16 coming at me upon exiting I believe it was the Cap Counterfieting Shack...I actually died, wow.... very rare, seeing that I was very well equipped Lvl 30 and all. I however refused to take a Stimpak during the ambush..I found all the Death Claws when taking with guns was far to easy, Melee now thats another story

If you've got the nerve to face your foes head on (rather than with Stealth Boys, C4, and sniping), inside Caesar's tent is the most dangerous place in the game. A pack of Deathclaws ain't got nothin on these guys.

Lol I did that once I was lv 25 I think used all my chems and stimpacks and just barely killed them by camping by caesars bed with the unique super sledge. :brokencomputer:

Any place that you aren't prepared for....Robots kick my butt constantly, since I never seem to have pulse weapons or armor-piercing ammo. It took me a few tries to survive the crashed vertibird and Vault 11. Caesar's tent took a few reloads, as well.

They're surprisingly good neighbors, though. All my characters live in Harper's Shack and the 'claws always stay out of the yard.

Okay, has no one else encountered the Blind Deathclaw at Harper's Shack? Holy [censored] !!!! I tried sleeping for hours/days - it was outside the shack waiting every time I exited no matter how long or short I stayed in there. I was crouched down, hidden, (and with about a 45 sneak). And it comes into the shack after you, so running in there is no defense.

I don't know if it is because my character is only level 4 or if the Deathclaws are worse in New Vegas - but she was nearly unkillable. I used up all my dynomite, frag grenades, frag mines (which didn't go off when she stepped on them, for some odd reason - I had to shoot them to get them to go off) - bullets from any of my guns had no effect on her life line, neither did flame throwers. GAAAAH !!!

I quit counting how many times she killed my character after fifteen - either right in the door as soon as I exited, or inside the shack. I was stuck there till I killed her or redo a whole bunch of wasteland exploring from the previous save...so fought it out. WHEW !!! And there is a legendary one worse than her? GAAAAH !!!

vault 22, mainly for the fear factor.

when a deathclaw gets angry at you, itll let you know.
when a cazador gets angry, youll see em. (sides, cazadors drop like... flies... against hollow point ammo)
when a legendary gets angry at you, well you should see him when you enter the place.

when those spore carriers get angry at you, they will sneak up to you. and its hard to see a green spore carrier in a dark vault full of plants.
(by the way, am i the only one that notices that they recycled the trogs from the pitt?)

You should have just got some c4, you can plce it without them going hostile. Leeave then come back killing everyone walk into the tent with the detonator and boom.

In Caesar's tent...the stealthboy/silenced weapon tactic is my favorite simply because it's so funny to watch all the Guards/Vulpes wander around the tent going "I thought I heard something" while you're shooting at them. Taking them head-on is definitely fun tho...one of the few big challenges. I always feel bad for Vulpes tho...here's all these Guards with their Fists and poor Vulpes can only pull out his little Ripper...
