From this concept art it looks like it's going to be based in and around post apocalyptic city of Seattle.

YEA!!! I CALLED IT!!!

ok sorry i had to do that... and it may not even be there....

edit: now that i went through the art i see that there are somethings you wont see in Seattle, like the swamp for one. and the Factory art looks like it could be Boeing but there isn't many trees in that area (besides next to the highway, but that is a thin strip). doesnt look much like Seattle at all really.

I have a gut feeling it will be based in a few places, I wonder if I'll see London, I'll pop home and grab a cuppa then carry on raiding. Please don't be offended by anything shown above, I'm only stating my opinion, I mean no harm by any comments, replies and topic that I post in or about.

1 State is simply not feasable its an MMo WoW did 2 Continents and that was just the start and they are HUGH. With the entire U.S as the grounds id expect to see atleast an Entire coast and probably some inward. Image

But each continent in WoW is really only about the size of Maine. It would take about the same time time to drive across Maine as it would to ride an epic mount across Kalimdor. Hell, not even. What I'm trying to say is that if everything was to scale, the map would be WAY to big. Remember how long it would take to walk across the Capital Wasteland, let alone the entire U.S. Image

Well thats with a mount have you ever walked it lol it takes a VERY long time lol it would be the same with a vehicle, sure their is scailing issues that will have to be worked out but theres way to much content to just leave out and for traveling large distances can be worked out with certain means of transport lets say the NCR got a monorail working, or Brotherhood with their zepplins, Enclave Vertibirds, Supermutants rideable deathclaws or somethin, Average wastelander or Vault dweller, Craftable cars Image

I would love to be able to use the science and repair stats to build a vehicle to travel through the wasteland, it would be so much more appealing then fast travel. I'd like to see the entire US with three locations in the middle, west and east coasts.

I'm thinking the following:
West Cost:
Southern California - NCR
*Shady Springs
*Vault City
*New Reno

New Vegas - Independent kleptocracy (Run by named courier, can't be NCR as that would make them too powerful)
- Brotherhood Outpost
- Black Mountain Supermutants
- NCR held hoover dam and the airbase

Seattle - Enclave HQ
- Brotherhood Outpost?
- 'Canadian Ghouls'

Centre:
Chicago/IL
Ft Sheridan

Colorado Springs/CO
USAF Air Academy
Fort Carson

Fort Worth-Dallas/TX - War of two cities?
- Brotherhood
- Large ghoul population due to the sparse population/poorer mexicans (El Paso?)
- Only Oil left? (i.e. vehicles)

New Orleans/LA
- Just because its new orleans
- Fort Polk/

East Coast:
Washington DC/Capital Area - Of Course, Not familiar with Fallout 3.

Atlanta/GA
- CDC is a scientifically focused brotherhood
- Stone Mountain based Enclave?
- Dobbins ARB and/or Ft. Benning: New Confederacy? Elitist Humans with lots of military assets
- Atlanta Underground (Ghouls?/Freeside
- Nuka-Cola 'Mint' (Strategic asset)

New York/NY, NJ
- Humans, dictatorship? (i.e. the mayor?)
- Mutants in NJ (somewhat humorous? I have family there so maybe funnier to me . . .)
- Brotherhood
- Clear potential for smaller factions

Tampa/FL
- Enclave? (NASA)
- Humans at MacDill AFB
- Sarsipilla World

That's the kind of scale I'd expect. As for transport I'd expect a mixture of Caravans or odd old rail-link. I would hope that guilds could build trade posts with others being able to take over or destroy them. Also, Faction-linked guilds. (I.E. NCR guilds)

Is there any confirmation on this? I'm a big NCR fan (New Vegas still fresh in mind). Also, will NV be canon for FOL?

Not Have D.C Is a cannon, But NV Yes?, Err well I wouldsay I like 3 since it's Post-Fell from NV, And more disturection in the capital wastealnd,. But I do agree @Above, That It would be a good Idea on thoses locations, If Project v13, Can expand at it's furtherst that be very cool to see Enclave Officer THE EPICOR

Right, it would take VERY long to walk across Maine. Even LONGER to walk across the whole U.S. Image
