Where is the "one-time" password!?!?

Post » Fri Feb 07, 2014 5:03 pm

Hello,

I have submitted my redemption code, downloaded the game, and tried to log on. I entered my username and password and was asked for a one-time password that should have been emailed to me. I never received an email with a one-time password. I checked all of my email folders including my spam folder to no avail. Should I already have this password or is it supposed to be emailed to me right before the Feb 7-10 beta launch? I can't get anyone from support to help me with this and I'm starting to be afraid that I won't have this "one-time" password when it comes time to start gameplay.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

P.S. Sorry if this forum post is in the incorrect sub-location (I'm new).

It should be on the bottom of the invite email somewhere. Also you'll want to request a new password.

Assuming you didn't get your code through Curse, you'll want the Beta forums (linked in your invitation e-mail).

That said, I don't recall being asked to set up a "one-time" password for my ZO account, which is where your beta code was applied. You may want to ask support about whether or not you had a password reset performed.

The one-time password is asked for after I have entered my username and my password in the actual game, after downloading it. Those work just fine, but after entering those I am being asked for the one-time password. I've scoured the emails and couldn't find anything. The redemption code that I received for the download didn't work, either.

You should go check the beta forums to see if this is a known issue, I know nothing about this.

I don't recall being asked for that, so you may want to ask support.

The beta server is also not active at this time, so you shouldn't test your login with the game. If you can log in to your account through Zenimax Online, then your info should be fine for logging in. I'd just check with support to be sure.

Thanks, nerevarine.

I'm trying to do an online chat with them now. My previous two attempts were unsuccessful. Nobody from support ever showed up and no one has emailed me either.

I understand the servers aren't up right now so I never expected to make it too far after logging in. Could it be that an email should be arriving right before the Feb 7 launch in order to log in an play?

I don't think so. Be patient waiting for the e-mail; the support team has a lot on its hands, considering the game isn't released yet. But while you wait, I'd strongly recommend trying to log in to Zenimax Online through their site and see if you just need to reset your PW. I don't recall ever being asked for a "one-time" password of any kind.

Please note this not the place to request tech support for the ESO beta program. The moderating team here is not able to help resolve any tech support issues.
If you are participating in the beta program and require technical assistance, please use the ESO beta forums (link was provided in your email) or open a support ticket here: https://help.elderscrollsonline.com/app/ask
