Where Would You Fit In?

Post » Sat Jan 01, 2011 5:45 am

Hello all,

I'm kinda bored so I decided to make my own mini-quiz to evaluate where other people would fit in inside the Fallout Universe. Just so everyone os clear, these descriptions of factions are my own personal views, so please don't say "HEY! THATS ALL WRONG! IM NOT THAT!" ( :P )

Anyway, The answers to who you would be are here:

Spoiler

1) Enclave (willing to kill anyone to bring back America)
2) Waster (passive scavengers)
3) Raider (well... savages)
4) BoS (as in FO1, horded the technology of the wastes for themselves)
5) Vault Dweller (grow up in protected communities and try to avoid hardships via the vault)

I tested as a Enclave :D
Please post what you got and if you agree :)

Edit: I added another option.

Cheers,
MkII

I got Vault Dweller. Gosh, I bet that means I'm going to be sent out to find a replacement water chip.

It's always cool to say I'm an anti-social badass who does anything to get what he wants... But I doubt any of us are like that.
I would, if thrown to the wastes, join a group of alike people and we would co-operate to survive. Simple as that.

If I got to choose a faction, I would definitely side with the Enclave. It's probably the safest job you can get in the Wasteland, unless you were in the Capital Wasteland around 2277. But even as a Navarro guard I would have a pretty enjoyable life.

EDIT: I don't think a regular Enclave member would fit group 1. An Enclave soldier has a job to do, and does as told to. Even if it's guarding Vertibirds. It's the big bosses who are fanatic about restoring pre-war America.

Yes, but the only reason they followed their superiors orders is because they where promised the rebuilding of America. Regardless of the fact that the Enclave did not question the orders, they thought that by following them, they where completing their goal.

In all honesty, I would be an evil genius. I would get others to put themselves in harms way in order for me to get what I wanted. I would be the brain, and get a bunch of stupid people to be my mindless muscle.

No offense but that test is a little skewed...I understand the logic, but in my opinion it's predisposed to classify Enclave as "good" and Brotherhood as "bad." In reality everything, as we know with Fallout, is rather grey.

I don't think the Enclave is evil, mind you - not any more so than the US government usually is - it's just misguided with that whole genocide thing. The BoS, meanwhile, aren't really much better but at least appear legitimately noble as opposed to the Enclave's manufactured, politically correct outreach efforts (again, much like the present government). The BoS are also bigoted jerks, so pick your poison.

Frankly I'm more in line with the Regulators way of thinking, which I believe also applies to that first option. They see people doing what they perceive as evil and take action. Of course, no one ever really believes that they're the evildoer; it's all based on perspective. The Regulators at least want to do what is best for everyone and only kill the people who actually deserve it.

I got Enclave. As long as the protagonist doesn't show up I'll be fine. Or anything bigger than a goat.

You forgot the 'dead' option. Realistically, I probably wouldn't survive in a post-apocalyptic wasteland. And half of you probably wouldn't, either. x.x I have no survival training, no combat training, and I'm not all that good with negotiation. So, yes, I'd probably be Raider Chow™ after a few days.

i don't think i would die to early, as i know how to use a gun, im a pretty fast runner which might help with running away, i know where pretty much every single place in my country is, my only downside would be the fact that wouldn't be able to leave without all my clothes and stuff like that.

Skill with a firearm at range or knowledge of basic operation is a lot different than actually being able to keep a cool head and fire quickly and accurately during a combat situation, unfortunately. I have no formal firearms training, but I'm aware of the mechanics of a firearm, the proper stances needed, and how to load, unload, and fire such a weapon. Unfortunately, the first time some guy with blood all over him and an axe got near me, I'd likely panic. Raider Chow™!

But yes, when you really think about it, your character must go through horrifying amounts of stress once they leave the safety of the Vault. Makes for rather poignant role-play, if you're into such things.

Hunting for the most valuable, rust encrusted or dust covered, garbage. Im a greedy **** Waster!

On the topic of "Can I survive the Wasteland", probably not. All I have going for me is a bit of speed and the ability to manipulate "normal" people. (Normal being those who have not had to watch there back to survive.)

Waster but I would still fight if need be. I prefer the word explorer. If I was taken to the fallout universe right now I would explore every place I could. Not some waster like in DC just sitting under a bridge. Run away and live to fight explore another day. I have been thinking of the fallout Universe since fallout one came out.

Tribal.

The best way to survive would be to gather a group of like-minded people and form a small community, safety in numbers after all. Then we could live off of the land and disregard the technology that brought us into post-apocalyptia in the first place.

And it isn't like the Enclave or BoS would just accept any randomer who stumbles through their doors.
