Where would you live given a choice?

Post » Tue Dec 29, 2009 2:11 pm

Picture this guys - you exist in the Fallout world and from all of the locations we know of so far, are given a choice on where to settle and live. You have to choose the one you feel is the better place to life and lead some kind of life.

For me I think the most habitable so far would be out in the New Vegas area - people out there seem marginally closer to re-buolding humanity, though are still a long long way away from that.

DC for me would be the one to avoid, the world out there was very hellish.

Thanks for participating

2161: Cathedral (I'd be a total Child of the Cathedral). It'd be safe and to be honest, being a super mutant wouldn't be so horrible.

2242: Oil Rig or Navarro. I'm an Enclave Soldier.

2277: Raven Rock. I'm loyal to the 'clave!

2281: NCR

Probably Goodsprings depending on which ending happens, Novac, or Megaton.

2161: The Hub probably, it's moderately safe.

2242: Would join Shi at San Fransisco.

2277: I'd probably stay up on my own spaceship rather than being in the hell-hole known as CW.

2281: Any Legion camp/town.

You clearly haven't played Fallout 2. New Vegas is primitive and desolate compared to the more civilized and advanced areas of the NCR.

New Vegas or NCR, because the CW is just depressing to look at.

I would deffinatley live in Point Lookout, with Desmond Lockeheart, in his Mansion. If not there, I"d have to say at the Lucky 38 with Boone, after I've taken control of Vegas.

Megaton... CW is not that bad after the BoS do there thing, Water gets purified, and Harold works his magic... Besides I really like Moira's... outlook on life. (I think thats her name)

Megaton. If The Bomb was difused and purifier was left FEV free. (and to everyone who sided with Tempenny i hope you get your balls ripped off by ferals)
NewVegas. Its like an oasis to the rest of the world. plus it has power and purified water people woul die for eles where.
Underworld. Being a ghoul would actually be awsome as hell. it dont matter if the water is irradiated they dont seem to die of age, just go feral.
and we liv in pre war times people. if we wann live to see the postapocolyptic wasteland mutated aniamls, bugs, ect. you need 50+
years for mutations to take effect. being a ghoul seems the only way to go.

2242 and before: Oil Rig

2277: Raven Rock

...and then because I wouldn't have let it be destoryed by Prime or the Fanatics O' Steel ( I don't care if I had to fight the damned robot with my fists or crash a vertibird into it) :toughninja:
2277-onwards: Raven Rock or prehaps the newly refurbished Pentagon (with distictly less Lyons about)

Fallout 1: Shady Sand. Compared to the other settlements during that period, it offers a hard, but honest lifestyle. Also, when the NCR is founded by Tandi, I can be part of history by supporting her.

Fallout 2: Most likely the NCR capital city due to it's stable government, relative safety since they have the largest police force and military in the known Fallout world, and a nice comfortable lifestyle. NCR is also the best hope of rebuilding civilization. Perhaps Vault City would be a good place to live (after repairing Gecko's power plant). Sure, I really hate Lynette but others people in the city such as Phyllis, Dr. Troy and McClure seems to be nice people that I can get alone with. Also, as the captain of the guard I can try to promote reforms to make the city more open to the outside world and negotiate favorable terms of annexation when the NCR comes knocking. And since I am a Chinese, I am such I can be a member of the Shi in San Francisco. Perhaps I can be the Shi's ambassador to the NCR. Occasionally traveling to the Den (under the control of Becky) and New Reno for holiday will be nice too.

Fallout 3: Do I really have to pick? I mean, all the places are in pretty bad shape. But I guess Tenpenny Tower without the ghouls is the best place around since it is one of the few settlements that have clean running water.

New Vegas: The Strip or the Mojave Outpost I guess.

I'd go up to San Francisco with the Shi, it's not very far (about 40km to the north) compared to every other known location on the West Coast, and I don't like the Hubologists.

If I have to choose an East Coast location, I'll chose The Commonwealth.

If by games and locations in them only:
Fo1: Shady Sands, a peacefull, isolated village, and knowing it's future is a very great place to be.
Fo2: Either San Francisco, or still in Shady Sands, now NCR
Fo3: I can't really chose somewhere in the Capital Wasteland, I'd go with The Commonwealth, but it's only mentioned.
FNV: Vault 21 or The Tops, Ultra-Luxe if someone prevents
Spoiler
the canniblism from starting again.

Out of all locations in the games I would want to stay in the town of NCR or Vault City (assuming I can be a citizen). They're both large cities that has been entirely built post-war, I'd like living in a place that doesn't have any pre-war debris in it - I'd feel I'm part of civilization moving forward again..
