Where would you live in the elder scrolls?

Post » Sat Nov 17, 2012 8:16 am

Suppose you were svcked out if this world with your family , where would you want to be if you could choose anywhere in the elder scrolls? You would also be given 300,000 septims.

I would personally live in the imperial city or skingrad , but that's because I'm an imperial.

Hammerfell. Currently the safest place in Tamriel.

The Imperial City would be my first choice because I have fond memories of it, and I probably would make a few trips to Bruma as well.

If it were up to me, I would live in the sparkling metropolis of Vivec, Morrowind. Charming cities such as Anvil and Markarth would make the decision difficult, however.

The imperials have abandoned it in the middle of an Elven invasion. There is a huge war in hammer fell. It's probably the most dangerous place in Skyrim.

Not anymore. Redguards beat back the altmeri 20 years prior to the game start and signed some sort of treaty with the dominion.

I'd like to live in Balmor...oh wait...

Apparently one of the terms for the white gold concordinat was that hammer fell went to the dominion. The imperials were by that time so depleted they needed peace and because the red guards wanted to fight , gave up hammer fell as an imperial province. I thought the red guards were still fighting , but hey that's just what I heard.

Probably in High Rock, learning magic. If not there, then Skyrim.

That's a hard question for me to answer because there are so many exciting places. I would probably live in Windhelm though(post murderer on the loose). I like the cold and the snow, plus the walls of Windhelm look like they could keep me safe in a siege. I would probably study magic in the Palace of the Kings.

With 300.000 septims, I will probably be able to purchase an entire Skyrim hold or the Isle of Solstheim.

And how would I carry such a large amount of coins?

You dont carry that money.
You go to your bank, give them 290.000 Septims and then get an exchange (=checks in modern world). With these checks, you can pay anywhere you like or atleast get money from another bank whereever you may want to go.

Was already in practice in Italy in the 14th and 15th century.

Parts of Tamriel are culturally more advanced than 15th century italy, especially Cyrodiil and Morrowind.

The Redguards are fighting amongst themselves right now (HUGE surprise there), not with the Thalmor.

Imperial City or Solitude. One word: sewers.

I'd make my home in the Imperial City, as a member of either the Synod or the College of Whispers. If I couldnt secure private quarters within the organization's headquarters, I'd purchase an apartment in the Elven Gardens district. I'd consume myself with magical study, and the Imperial City's sewer systems should make an excellent place to hide from the Thalmor should tensions reach breaking point.

Whiterun seems like a pretty friendly place. Probably buy Breezehome, then invest in all of the businesses so that they pay me a percentage. A little security in an insecure world.

Skyrim, Eastmarch, Mixwater Mill.

It just seems like a fairly nice area, nothing too threatening nearby I don't think, out of the way in a sense but still close to settlements so safe in that regard, great scenery by the river as well and of course work available. Good honest living, I'd perhaps have a small Shrine of Zenithar and an Amulet too. Seems nice.

Something horrible would happen eventually though, leaving me very much dead.

I'd assume Skyrim, since its the current period of time in the Elder Scrolls universe.

It would be a toss-up between Anvil and Whiterun, though I like Bruma too, and Riverwood. And Cheydinhall. Riften. And..... Ahhhhhhhhhhk!! Stop it!!
