Simple question. Where do you think America will be in 100 years? I personally imagine a society where Super Muntants, slavers and raiders are small petty threats with a few overrun regions.

in 100 years? society goes back to normal, as those you listed drop to barely nothing (except for the intelligent super mutants that hae their own town),and forests will spring to life, everything will progresss as usual. This is human nature and Nature itself. Everything would almost be as if no nuclear armageddon as happen, and countries will be a little bit more precautious.

no much different then it is already. maybe with a tad more law and order in cities, but thats about it.

If bethesdas makin the games,it will still be the same.They've shown prity well they dont understand how long 200 years is,ala fallout 3.Another 100 wont be very much for em' either.(it doesnt realy bother me,made for a great game world,but didnt make much sence that the world was like the bombs had droped only a few weeks ago :wink_smile: )

It won't be on the level of 2077...ever, unless two things happen.
Nuclear Fission Batteries are improved upon providing the electricity they need for the restart of the industrial revolution fully. The NCR won't fight over things like Helios One or the Hoover Dam because they'll have all the power they need. Plus cars will come into fashion again changing the face of war. I don't really think any faction that gets to this level will be able to stop themselves from delevoping nuclear weapons again and then driving an arms race. Just look at the NCR's use of nukes during the Powder Ganger operation.

Afterwards the semiconductor needs to be invented and dramatically improved. With the semiconducter and given enough time this will lead to the growth of nano-tech and the end game of all economics. Beating scarity. If you can simply rearrange atoms or molecules or whatever, then you don't have to salvage pre-war cities for inputs. Hell you can just say [censored] the inputs (land, capital, labor) and just get the finished good. Unforunetly the only group that is even hinted at being on this path is the Commonwealth.

It was Bethesda's first Fallout game so I'm willing to give them a second chance. On topic, I think there will be a bit more law and order, but there will be some areas that won't be safe for most people.

Enclave will have insigated the Project, killed all life on Earth and begun building the New World...

There will be conflicts and war while they slowly get used to having bordering countries.

The ncr will take all of California and maybe some of mexico
