Furry Japan (Akavir) is the most accepted theory. I think

That dude's chillin' with the Maomer and taming sea serpents. Or he's seeing if it'd be funny to make twenty sloads fart to the moon. Or he's dead.

Kicking ass and taking names the world over. He's immune to disease and age and the Nerevarine is too much of a badass to be killed by anything.

Immune to age? I can't remember such a thing to be happened in Morrowind. As far as I remember he became only immune to diseases.

Corprus makes the afflicted immortal as far as dying from age and disease are concerned.

Ok. Then he probably isn't resting in his grave as I suggested earlier.
Depending on that truth I assume he went on Akavir and was ate by Tsaesci.

In Akavir, becoming a dragon like that tiger dude (no I highly doubt that it would be kinda cool if he did though)

He's either in Akavir, or hunting down Vivec. Azura may have contacted the Nerevarine to hunt down and slay Vivec, after Vivec pulled that crap at his own trial. Vivec turned out to be just as [censored] up and twisted as Dagoth Ur, he just hid it and acted "nice" during TES III: Morrowind because he was afraid of the Nerevarine, because the Nerevarine could actually kill him. At his own trial though, he showed his true side and not only spat in the face of Azura, but actually banished her from Mundus, then fled. He also admitted during the Trial that he did indeed slay Lord Nerevar after the battle with the Dwarves.

She's busy being a skeleton. Being a 200 year old Argonian does that to you.

The Nerevarine has Corprus Disease, also known as the "Divine Disease" in Morrowind. It makes you immune to aging and all diseases.

I don't remember reading anything about it, but most people seem to think she left for Akavir few years after Morrowind.

I'm pretty sure mine is playing poker with Talos and Vivec while watching the world below them slowly burn and change, without any inclination to do anything about it.

Seriously though, the Nerevarine is whereever you want him or her to be and doing what you want him or her to do, except for ruling Morrowind and invading the Empire that is.

The Nerevarine is where ever you want him/her to be. Even the whole Akavir thing can be easily written off as intentional misinformation or just a bad rumor.

My Nerevarine is traveling Nirn, seeking to achieve CHIM, and waiting for the Second Coming of Vivec.
