Where do you think the next Fallout should be?

Post » Tue Dec 29, 2009 11:34 am

New York is a great idea but they should make a fallout were you didn't grow up in a vault.
You are like 17 when the bombs start falling.
you would get to see the people going insane it would be chaos
:gun: :ahhh:

First off, it would be a short game. ^

Anywhere but California and I'm fine. Let it be Bethesda, let it be.

Europe for something new, some new factions, enemies, landscapes etc.. and maybe something besides a vault-tect vault dweller for perhaps a different perspective for once. Such as a perspective from someone born of people who survived who were not fortunate enough to live within a vault.. to whom most tech is NEW. Like FO2 a tribal or some such.

Not to mention how I would love to see how the rest of the world fared in fallout anyway, and what presence if any the BOS have.

I wouldn't want Fallout in the uk for the personal reason that i hate the way America and most other western countries view Scottish people.

Despite the fact we have had some of the greatest minds to every live hail from these shores, we are viewed as ignorant drunkards who have no knowledge about anything apart from sheep, haggis and lager. Most people probably don't even know GTA is developed in Dundee...

But alas, if it was done somewhere here and was done properly with proper character development i wouldn't really care.

Still really want to see Fallout in Disney World though, just has potential for eerie moments for me.

I know how you feel. I'm Irish, and we're also thought of as stupid, wifebeating drunks. That's one of the reasons I would hate to see Fallout leave America- if set in the UK, it could have the potential to be very stereotypical.

I personally thin the best place would be where the whole map revolved around where a bomb hit. You'd be able to see the most destruction that a bomb would do. There may not be alot of life around it though because of the radiation so that might be a problem but still :D

The main question I have about Doomsday is the same question I have about Fallout 3 (and other post-nuclear adventures) - where on Earth do they get all that kohl pencil and hairspray?

SPAR obviously theyre open 365 days a year, come rain, shine or nucler holocaust LOL :mohawk:

I also hope Fallout remains in a US (or at least North American) setting. The whole Fallout vibe and atmosphere is a retrofuture 1950s Americana. It just wouldn't seem right elsewhere. That being said, Canada could be a possibility since it was annexed by the US. However, there is still such a huge part of the post-apocalyptic US that is completely unknown, I would like more of that explored. I.E. the Northeast or the South..

At the canadian border. Setting could include a dispute between some hobos residing in the ruins of Detroit and some other hobos camping across the river in Windsor.

Fallout 4: The Rise of the Maple Leaf... ok maybe not. :P

A logical place would be the Great Lakes/Rust Belt region. Think about it. In project purity you have the world's largest water purifier. What better place to see what that puppy can really do than the world's largest fresh water lakes. (Assuming they haven't been totally vaporized in the War, of course).

How would you tell post-apocalyptic Detroit from modern Detroit?

Judging by the title, I can guess where Fallout: New Vegas will be.

Detroit already looks like a wreck. But being a Michigander I would favor it, just to see how the hood of the state looked after being nuked.

Isn't fallout already pretty stereotypical/satirical (sp?) with the 50's retro future vibe (Prewar americana references) leave it to beaver, My three sons type world, is that really how americans are?? REALLY??

I wish they were, I live in America and my family is pretty messed up. If the 50s propaganda is to be believed [which it isn't], American life was better than multiple orgisms [can I say orgisms?]

As long as it's:

1- In the US
2- NOT in New York

I'll be okay with it.
