Always wanted to see Skyrim, so the rumors that TES V takes place there does please me.
However, Black Marsh is also an interesting location.

I couldn't take the game seriously if it was in Summerset. There's already a place here in the UK called that (spelled differently I think) but any time I hear that all I can think of is the accent. "Sommer-saaat." Oh dear.

I've lived in England for the past 18 years. Never really think about it when I think of Summerset. May be just me

I don't get it. The majority of the fanbase votes Skyrim, yet there's tons of irritating posts about "Skyrim being bland and rubbish".

I pretty much agree with the OP.

The Isles would be cool, and it would be interesting with the High Elves and all their magicks. Really though, I'd be fine with pretty much any province besides black marsh (and morrowind, cyrodiil, high rock and hammerfell, as those have been done). I don't really know that Valenwood would be very doable on this gen either. I just don't know that they could do the forests justice, especially with the roaming walking cities.

The province I most want to visit would probably be Valenwood (if they give the male elves better voices, I don't know if i could stand too much of that.) But like you said with Black Marsh I just don't know if it would be very doable.

Elseweyr would be really neat, just to see all the various breeds of Khajiit, but I feel it may be too volatile a place right now with the fall of the empire. Volatile sounds like fun, but it seems it would be all out tribal warfare at the moment.

but that could be the point 2 diferent endings will you suport the tribes to create a nation under a kajjit king or the empire to reclaim the land and put down the revolution

Southern Morrowind (not Vvardenfell) and north-western Black Marsh.
The geographical, cultural and political situation there is very interesting, especially after The Infernal City. I'd imagine the Empire, since peaceful ways are unlikely to work, would start an invasion against Black Marsh sooner or later, struggling to secure more than the West, but not really needing much more than a larger outpost to see what's going on in the Province, since Argonia is not very interesting for the Empire and they'd only need a town or two there to claim the country theirs.
The player would probably start out there, there'd be an unconventional warfare-like atmosphere at the "border" to the "wild" Marsh, and deeper within the country the player would meet exotic creatures, culture, vegetation etc. That place would be very dangerous, but the hero would try to bring peace to the region. The main quest might then lead the player up north, at first to the very southern Morrowind, partly controlled by what remains of the Argonian population there after the Umbriel incident. Going north, things become even worse, and Dunmer daedra-cultists would be everywhere - however, those would not be "bad guys", but the player would instead learn about the culture of those Dunmer who came back to Morrowind, and the main quest could resolve around bringing peace to the region around Cyrodiil, Marsh and Morrowind and uniting these areas under the Empire.

Especially Morrowind would be interesting, since alot has changed, and the Dunmer who might eventually re-populate it would be alot more mysterious and alien than they already were, since they live in a damn unfriendly environment and want to stay away from the Empire and the Argonians. The Argonians would be split in two parties, the An-Xileel and the now very rare empire-friendly Argonians... (Depending on what happens in the second book, the situation will probably look much different, but interesting nonetheless)

I just think the area there has alot of potential for a fantastic setting, not unlike Morrowind, and for politics and stuff.

in this i disagree i think the provences should be split up in the new games with the player creating the nations and then they create a new game where after a lot of adventuring and quests you become a general and try to captur the other provences to create a new empire under any one of the nations because it would be like 30 years from now with a gigantic well done game with all the provences

I think these two are what I imagine Skyrim to be like, more or less.

i think that makes alot of cents but hopefully more level area and using alot of ideas from the ideas fourm and the nords are legendary naval guys so i would love a navy and pirates and raids and the whole political thing with the cyty states would be cool having to pick wich one to suport and if it took place a few months after oblivion we might see a nordish empire hopefull not looking like fat greeks from the dumn leagon armor armor but all said skyrym would be very interesting dont forget skyryms vampires the book imortal blood in the game at the bandit camp read it and the skyrym vampire part it sounds awsome so yah if they cant do skyrim elswyr or blackmarsh all the way and yes a biger map

Southern Morrowind (not Vvardenfell) and north-western Black Marsh.

This is the region I'd most like to see as well, and for similar reasons. However I'd prefer to see it in a later game, something with better graphics to really bring the swamp to life and more importantly better AI and more complex scripting to better convey the politically malleable circumstances.

I'm hoping for Skyrim, perhaps with some of northern High Rock thrown in as well (if not in the original game then later). An arctic environment would be interesting and I think it would work well for those people looking for a fairly traditional fantasy setting and those looking for something more bizarre.

I actually voted for Sumerset Isle because I knew Skyrim would be dominating this and Sumerset Isle would be my second choice for TES V.

I voted Summerset Isle. I've read up a bit of the Isles lore and it sounds really interesting. The island in the northwest also has potential for an expansion.

I also voted for 2 provinces, perhaps you could take a ferry from the Isles to Valenwood maybe. But if it isn't Summerset Isles, a 2-province game would be good and create more oppurtunities for a storyline, feuds between the 2 provinces, espionage, that kind of stuff.

Elsweyr, Black Mersh and Sumerset isles would be places i want to see. And Akavir too. Skyrim, not so much.

EDIT: Black Marsh, not Blackwood

I voted Skyrim earlier, but recently I've been thinking that a game set in Orsinium could be really cool. Bethesda would be able to make a to-scale version of the city and the surrounding countryside, and we would get to learn more about the pariah Orsimer.

There could be plenty of espionage and subterfuge for thief/assassin characters, and theres lots of room for action too, especially if the tension with neighbouring Wayrest sparks up again. There could be various political factions in the city, all vying for power and support (kind of like the Great Houses in Morrowind). A Thieves Guild fits perfectly in the setting, and there could be a guild for fighters that acts sort of like a private security company (some members might be able to perform less legal contracts for an additional fee).

If you're not a fan of the city, you could leave and explore the Wrothgarian Mountains, there could even be a group for hunters that you could join, perhaps based in a lodge outside of the city. There would be plenty of room for caves and dungeons in the Mountains, filled with vicious predators and savage monsters for would-be adventurers to test their mettle against.

I don't have a hard time imagining a Mages Guild in this setting, but I don't currently have any ideas for a setting-specific faction for mages.

It would be a good way to show players that not all Orcs are brutish thugs who like noting more than to crack skulls, or jokes like Lord Rugdumph gro-Shurgak, although I think it would be good if most of the Orcs were subject to short tempers and violent passions.

Actually, the island in the south, Pyandonea, would be a great place to expand upon, if Summerset is used. It could make way for quite a good expansion. Maormer have such awesome lore potential...

Why do so many people only want one province?

If they could (which I know they couldn't) I would want it to be like TESII: Daggerfall with 15,000 towns 750,000 NPCS and 487,000 km of explorable space.

You say that as if Daggerfall covered the whole of Tamriel. Daggerfall only done High Rock and part of Hammerfell. Also, the sheer scale of Daggerfall was unneccesary, imo. I mean, what's the point in having "close" cities literally 2 real world days away? I could understand an hour or two away from eachother, but I really don't see the need for this. I love Daggerfall, but this is my one real complaint about it.

Also, that 487,000 km was mostly bland wilderness.

But remove exploration.

That's enough of a con, that it makes me not want to fast-travel.

And I don't, unless I'm modding or my person would be riding a carriage.

I reckon what would be interesting is if they started the game off in one region, e.g. Skyrim, but then maybe introduced new regions as DLC?
That would allow them to put in the attention to detail to new regions, and also ensure plenty of unique dialogue if they continued the voice acting, and update sounds and graphics, to give the game lots of variety.
