Where do you want your Dragonborn to end up?

Post » Sat Jun 22, 2013 6:33 am

Where do you fancy to see your character in death? for me i want my Dunmer to go to the Dread Lord in the Void. that or one of Sanguine's realms. but i suspect the void because of my character's allegiance and beliefs.

And before you say the Dragonborn is going end up in Sovngarde, think again. not everyone is a Nord. and not everyone have lived a life of glory and battle. and Beth never supported one way canon endings. i doubt they'll change that now.

Sovngarde or wherever Talos is because I'd mantle him and take over his oversoul. Preferably Sovngarde with Frea, my warrior wife (I wish). Even if she doesn't believe in Sovngarde necessarily. She'd still end up there likely.

Think about how badass our draugr would be if we became one, which ofcourse we wouldn't. Can you picture that?

InB4 Hevnoraak says he already is one and links pictures after quoting "can you picture that?"

My Nord is a werewolf by choice, so I think he would end up in Hircines realm.

My Dunmer has a goal to find a way to never die... he doesnt want to resort to vampirism, but he will find a way...

My Dovahkiin is a vampire who serves Sithis, so...she won't be going anywhere anytime soon as she's kinda an immortal undead now. :D She was a werewolf, but soon had that purged from her, so I think she's clear from having to roam around in Hircine's realm.

Why do Dragonborn even die in the first place? They have immortal dragon souls.

Apocrypha, though my character has no intention of dying any time soon, if ever, though he is not a Vampire*.

It can't be that bad. You certainly won't get bored, so long as Hermaeus Mora isn't too stingy about letting you read his books.

*I could explain the RP behind it, but that would be for a different thread entirely. I'm basing this RP partially off of "The Case of Charles Dexter Ward."

Mummified in Elseweyr.

What exactly does Sheogorath do with his followers' souls anyways?

So do dragons yet they die. The only evidence of them coming back to life is from Alduin.

he MAY have the Soul of a Dragon, but not a Dragons Physical body.

The Human Body can not indefinitely reproduce dying Cells, this is what causes Aging.

So Even if he does have a Dragons Soul, his Body is still susceptible to the effects of aging, and as such will die when aging causes his body's systems to fail.

pretty much the Only "Mortals" in TES Immune to these effects are Vampires, Necromancers who have become Liches, Some Extremely powerful Wizards, and the Nerevarine (supposedly)

My Dragoborn successfully mantles Alduin and one day ends this Kalpa, though it will probably be a while before she ends it.

My main Nord dragonborn mantles Talos as an entiamorphic being with General Tullius and Ulfric Stormcloak and takes Lorkhans place in Aetherius.

My Altmer joins the Volkihar and becomes an immortal demi-god and Lord of the Soul Cairne. Defies Akatosh and uses the dragonblood to become his own Daedric Lord

Well, odds are that my Dragonborn will end up "dieing" in a horrible hard drive failure, or a corrupt save -I already have issues with my 18.5 MB main, freezing my machine all the time in Solstheim...

When he dies, my DB will claim his rightful place Sovngarde.

Or, he will become a lich and wander the seas for all eternity.

Alternatively upon his death, his soul can return to Bormahu in Aetherius.

I've wondered this myself, but I believe it has to do with limitations of the flesh. For example: In Greek Mythology Hercules physical and mortal half dies, while his god half ascends to Olympus. I assume the physical body of the DB is what dies; and his soul is returned to Akatosh. So like Hercules is a god trapped in a mortal body, the db is a dragon trapped in a mortal body. They're true potential is limited due to the bodies they're in.

I also think Akatosh has say in what happens to the DB's soul and he overrides anything the Daedra might say about it.
