Where is your favorite house

If you need more storage, you can always get the Vault Theme for your house, you get an extra locker or something.

I usually camp at Megaton, or I blow up Megaton, and donate the 1000 cap reward to Saint Monica's Church. No karmic effect, although you do get an extra 500 caps for disarming the bomb.

Best option is to disarm, although its nice having a suite in Tenpenny Tower

Best option, if you want a decent amount of confirmed non-respawning storage, is to detonate the nuke to get the suite in Tenpenny Towers.
With the Vault theme you have 5 easily accessible containers there.
The hovel in Megaton, if you disarm the nuke simply does not measure up in comparison.

The bombed out building opposite the Arlington Library is cool if you like sleeping under the stars. Lots of storage, just watch out for the traps.

Is there any way to earn the tenpenny suite without blowing up megaton?

There are mods if you have PC then check out fallout3nexus.com and search Tenpenny and im sure you'll find at least 2
If your on a console i don't think so but there might be a glitch or somthing but im not sure.

There are very specific event sequences you can do to get access to both. It's mentioned in the FO3 Wiki, on the page about the relevant mission.
But in normal play, it's a case of choosing either Tenpenny or Megaton.
And as far as I am concerned, earning a high quality home at Tenpenny with a useable number of safe storage containers, beats hands down saving the jumble of squalid hovels in Megaton and getting a hovel of your own with maybe one safe storage container as reward.

agreed. Like I've always said, the lives of megaton are soooo not worth losing out on Tenpenny Tower.

I also remember a underground parking garage in DC. It had a scavenger in it so I used to chill with him at night and go exploring through DC during the day. The night can be dangerous :spotted owl:

I tried tenpany tower but I prefer Megaton it has the perfect set up for me 2 lockers a fridge a desk and a filing cabinet. The lockers are for my guns and clothes/Armour and the fridge has foods and desk has items for crafting and filing cabinet is stuff i'm going to sell. The tower has too many loading screens and I don't like the containers and how they are set up.

Getting from the Wasteland to the Tenpenny home has only one more loading screen than the Megaton home, but Tenpenny has a far more straight forwards direct path from the Wasteland to your home than is the case with the Megaton jumble.
In Tenpenny, I use the footlocker for guns and ammo, the Vault theme locker for armor, wardrobe for clothes, the safe for Uniques; Aid items; and important Misc items, and the desk for Misc items for crafting and Misc items used as Rock-It Launcher ammo.
