Where is your house?

Post » Fri May 04, 2012 4:22 am

Then why do I get Lothran to collect every torch he finds??

Because. . .
A. They weigh nothing?
B. Dungeons look beautiful by their light?
C. He can?
D. He is a hot guy?
E. All of the above?

Buffy votes for D. Oh, and also B.

Edit: Oh, for Renee, I think the question was that since a torch will eventually burn out if you carry it, does the same apply if left burning on the ground. It seems they will last forever if left burning on the ground.

I don't know what you're saying? Are you saying torches vanish in your games?
No, I meant if they never run out why do I keep collecting them  Goofy writing there maybe. I didn′t know they never run out but now I do so no more torches for Lothran

Only been playing a few hours into a new game so for now I am based at the Marie Elena working towards paying for the upgrades to Frostcrag Spire.

My pretty little shack on the waterfront

Hehe. Pop round if you run out of sugar.

Let Buffy give you a brief tour -

That is awesome, I'm very jealous. Oh, and Buffy is adorable, especially her ears.

Drop 4 to 5 lit torches in your home...

Neat tip.

There are a couple of mod houses that I use often.

One is http://tes.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=6505 and another is http://tesalliance.org/forums/index.php?/files/file/3-valus-cottage/ - the latter has indoor plumbing, if a little far from the main rooms.

I like the exterior of that place. Sitting on the porch, looking out across the water = priceless. It's a little dark in that one corner for me though, and if Mazoga is alive, she eats all my friggin alchemy ingredients!!! :swear: So I tend to keep it as a pad in the southern regions, rather than a full-on house.

I live in Ashen Rose's hose near Bruma. I love the city and I love the area. Being a Nord my character is fed up of the racism she suffers around many parts of Cyrodil so she settles as close to home as she can.

I really enjoy the Priory of the Nine. Just having a cozy place to hang around in surrounded by your fellow knights is a really cool feeling. I never really liked showing off all my treasures soI just pile it all In the chest and enjoy my humble headquarters :)

At the moment Elijah (my Shivering character) lives in the Duke's quarters in New Sheoth Palace. Before then he was in a house in Dementia, but it always had him registered as trespassing so he could never sleep there .

May I ask if the storage there is safe?

I agree about the Priory of the Nine. It even has a nice stable. Once you get the fireplace working, it is a great and cozy place with plenty of friends!

The storage is safe in your quarters after completing the quest. There is another bedroom there, that ALSO has safe storage, though you can never sleep in the bed. If you are leery about the storage in either room, take all, from every container, replacing that with a single arrow. Leave for four days, the city I mean, then come back. Then you will rest easy knowing that it is a guarantee.

DD finally found a place to rest his head. A nice little cave complex just north of Anvil filled with like minded individuals, a shrine to Bal, and plenty of room for guests.

I'm still looking for whatever happened to that tower house I made in that Neeshka pic. So far I'm through 6 dvds worth of files and no go. I'm starting to think that it didn't survive one of my hard drive failures. :yuck:

My character Menarde is staying in Benirus manor, Where all his treasures he has collected are located. Sometimes He will use Arborwatch though. :)

Right now wandering is my current home but I'm eventually going to try to get the house in Bravil and possibly in Cheydinhal too. Although only in Cheydinhal if I start the Dark Brotherhood questline.

Oh no, but he really likes the area. I don′t think he will get a house there, I was just thinking out loud :)

Watch out for Vigge. And Falanu. Oh, and Glarthir too I guess. The sheep, graqes and tomatoes won't hurt you though.

But cheese and wine will, if consumed heavily. Then I′d get a fat elf! :D

I could see this happening, for some reason. Not sure why, though. But when I look at Lothran, I could see him moving to Skingrad..

I've had at least 3 characters manage to gain White Stallion Lodge, but none of them really wanted to live there. Not for any length of time, anyways. They'd just use it as a place to stop. But I agree...it is a nice, scenic location. Like living on the Mississippi or something.

Like living on the Mississippi or something.

That's exactly it. A kind of lazy feel. Especially at dusk when the fire is there, I eat my meals on the porch, only inside if it is raining. Sometimes a guard on horseback passes by. I imagine we exchange pleasantries and if he has time he can break bread with me. :foodndrink: Is that you Decrepit?

The way you folks talk about this White Stallion Lodge place, you're making it sound like a darn nice place to live. I'm going to have to look into it. Judging by what's been said in this thread so far I think my current character would like it.
