Wow,I own homes in all the cities except Skingrad and that is next in line,I love being able to have all these places to hide out when I need to.I just can't figure out WHY I felt the need to buy them all! Makes me feel like a "real estate typhoon" I guess! :lmao:

Baa has several abodes. Her primary residence is the house in Skingrad where she keeps all her important stuff: arrows, soul gems, poisons, and trophies. Her house at Chorrol is next. It has my multi level basemant mod with three residents and a lot of storage. She keeps all of the KOTN stuff there along with a gaggle of resident companions.

Baa also owns all the other houses, but her favorite place to hang out is the pirate boat on the Imperial City waterfront. She used that place to level up, and thinks highly of the place. Baa usually parks herself there before I close the game.

Some of my earlier characters lived in the Chorrol Mages Guild tower until they could get a house.

Buffy’s primary residence (when not camping in the wilds with her mare) is a lovely apartment upstairs in the Mystic Archives of the Arcane University. It is a private mod that a dear friend made for her called ‘Buffy’s Apartment’.

My old high-hour character, Fortja, has multiple homes, including houses in several cities, the Archmage's quarters, a palace in the Shivering Isles, etc. I have no idea where all of her stuff is, because it's stashed in so many different homes. She is presently retired to Cloud Ruler, as are her fellow Champions of Cyrodiil, Heddvild and Kara Whey.

Etta has lived in a pirate ship, in the Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary, in Shivering Isles, and now, having renounced all of that, she lives humbly at the Priory of the Nine. A couple of my mages are completely homeless, living out of a bag (of holding), and sleeping at guild halls (except Skingrad.)

Wild Elf lives in various camps. She doesn't need much, and all she owns is stored in several non-respawning containers around Cyrodiil. Lately, she has been living at Fort Nikel, and having evening meetings with a certain Legion Rider who patrols the road to Skingrad.

Good thread!

Rayn's home is the small dwelling in the Imperial City, Waterfront District. She likes sitting on the roof and watching the sun set over Lake Rumare, and the house is nice and central. She hasn't been back there for quite some time now though, she's been adventuring in Blackwood, trying to find the place of her birth. She also co-owns a manor in Anvil with Arum.

Arum owns a house in Cheydinhal, though he moved out of there when he gave up his dark life. He mostly sleeps in Fighters Guild Halls, though he's trying to clean up the manor in Anvil that he co-owns with Rayn.

Skarsgard has a very comfortable property in Bruma. He was born in Skyrim so he feels right at home in Bruma, with the snowy weather and the cosy log cabins. He was left a rather large inheritance so he isn't short of money, which is why he's currently on a tavern crawl around the whole of Cyrodiil. His quest will bring him back to Bruma briefly, though it isn't the final leg on his tour.

Ann Thraxx: She's in my profile pic and has no official home. She's been crashing with a couple NPC's in the Abandoned Shack of the Waterfront District. She used to live somewhere in Kvatch.

http://i936.photobucket.com/albums/ad208/xenaclone/saga.jpg: She and Erthor have taken up residence in Lord Drad's Estate's slave houses.

http://i936.photobucket.com/albums/ad208/xenaclone/view.jpg: Bleak Flats Cave is her main digs. Nice and dark and quiet! :ninja: She also uses the Inn of Ill Omen's basemant and Lorkmir's house (in the Imperial City) as 2nd homes. But she likes her cave most of all. She likes occasionally luring a guard down there and messing with him. :stare:

http://i936.photobucket.com/albums/ad208/xenaclone/Photo-0060.jpg: Weatherleah (pre-quest)

http://i936.photobucket.com/albums/ad208/xenaclone/Photo-0062.jpg: Arch Mage's Towers. Arborwatch in Chorrol, too.

http://i936.photobucket.com/albums/ad208/xenaclone/Photo-0057.jpg: Bruma House is her fave (she's a Nord). She also has the Waterfront Shack and Greyland, and stayed with the Knights of the Nine from time to time.

Lou Zehr: (sorry no pic): Marie Elena (Pirate boat on the Waterfront)

http://i936.photobucket.com/albums/ad208/xenaclone/Image007-1.jpg: Bravil home was her main place.

http://i936.photobucket.com/albums/ad208/xenaclone/Photo-0032.jpg: Cheydinhal house. She also became Arch Mage, but preferred the house in Cheydinhal for some reason, especially after she murdered almost all the orcs in town.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Below are my Skyrim characters (sorry)

http://i936.photobucket.com/albums/ad208/xenaclone/CrystalBeth.jpg: Beth has a room in the College. Since she's not gonna become Arch Mage, she'll probably just use this room. She wants to buy the house in Solitude, too, which is gonna take a LOT of adventuring and gold to afford.

http://i936.photobucket.com/albums/ad208/xenaclone/claire.jpg: no official home, but she stayed in Alford and Sigfrid's house in Riverwood, using the non-respawning chest in the basemant as her safekeep area.

Rodrigo lives in Skingrad. Being a member of the mages' guild gets you a locker (open-topped grain sack) in every guild hall's locker room. So he always has a place to stay, but will stay at the inns and hotels for a little variety, the bonus of this is that I can actually SLEEP ALONE for a change. No means no Angalmo!

This is how both the female characters who did Fighters Guild (Renee Gade II and Dyan) did it. They couldn't stand sleeping in most of the FG guildhalls, especially with those creepy porters staring at them all the time. :stare: And plus, some of the FG halls simply do not offer any privacy. They'd rather stay in a hotel room.

Kjellingson lives in the camp at Fort Nikel. There’s a tent, campfire, seat, and sack for safe storage. I expect that he’ll buy the waterfront shack someday and we’ll pretend it’s really wherever place he settles, or it could even be at his home in Kvatch.

Darian has a chest at the waterfront. The next time we play, I’m going to kick him out. Part of being a rootless wanderer is having to let go of your stuff. The issue is vanity. Darian has a hard time giving up armor and clothing that look good on him. He is damn fine, so everything looks good. :P

I’m so glad you like her fireplace statue! Buffy basically is tiny. Even in the other picture, you can see she only takes up about half the stool she’s sitting on. She’s 88% the height of an Imperial and 80% of their weight. http://i668.photobucket.com/albums/vv43/Acadian6/Epic%20Buffy/ScreenShot983.jpghttp://i668.photobucket.com/albums/vv43/Acadian6/Epic%20Buffy/ScreenShot983.jpg

As the world knows … at least the portion of it who frequent these forums … my decrepit avatar owns a number of fine abodes scattered throughout Cyrodiil, as well as a rather nice lodge in New Sheoth Palace. Of them all, his chosen base of operations … and this too should be common knowledge … is Weye Manor, located near Wawnet Inn in, you guessed it, Weye Village.

Why Weye? First and foremost, those three magical words: location, location, location. Of all his properties, Weye Manor is situated nearest the Imperial City and White-Gold Tower. Verona House is little more than a stone's throw further away, but even that small bit of added distance creates needless delay. He could of course sleep in his Arch-Mage quarters in the Arcane University, the private room reserved for him in the Councilors' Wing of White-Gold Tower, or one of the city's numerous Guard Towers. Those are closer yet.

None pass muster. If nothing else, none is luxurious enough to provide adequate housing for both himself and his traveling companion. Additionally, he's somewhat uncomfortable and thus reluctant to spend much time at the University, being aware that his magical abilities are inadequate for the lofty title bestowed upon him. (As I've stated before, he considers it a purely political appointment. What law-abiding guild would not want to boast of having the Champion of Cyrodiil and Divide Crusader at its helm, despite that individual's other qualifications...or lack thereof?) His rooms in White-Gold came gratis with another honorary title, Duke of Colovia, earned through service to the Council. He feels somewhat better about this one, but it is rather bleak and cramped, and again not sufficient for two.

He would be most at home in an upper floor barrack of one of the city's Guard Towers, and indeed spent many a night there during and immediately following the Crisis. But those Towers lack too many conveniences. They are certainly no fit place for a young impressionable Nord girl-woman.

Besides, while he enjoys close proximity to the seat of power, he possesses at heart a small town mentality and prefers to live near the hustle and bustle of the big city rather than in the midst of it.

Weye Manor has other attractions. It is spacious enough to house both himself and Vilja comfortably, each with their own separate sleeping accommodations. It even has room to house a decent size staff, all of whom work for room and board. (The latter a plus for someone like my avatar who, while now very well off financially, lived much of this life in or near poverty and thus remains something of a miser. Not that he isn't be generous when the situation arises. He simply prefers not to spend frivolously.) The manor has a spacious dining room where he and/or Vilja sometimes join the staff for meals, circumstances permitting. There's a alchemical closet in the basemant. Best of all, there's a private balcony off his third-floor bedroom that offers a glorious view of Lake Rumare, The Imperial Isle, and the Capital. He eats many a breakfast on that balcony, watching the sun break over the City walls, and less frequently downs a nightcap there at the end of the day just prior to retiring to his bed.

He's quite fond of Weye and its inhabitants and has long admired the Wawnet's proprietress. And speaking of the Wawnet, where else can he go of an evening and hear a bard recount tales of his various adventures?

Here's http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn303/Decrepit_Waste/ESIV%20Oblivion/ImpIslePanorama1.jpg, the manor's red-domed roof rising above tree level mid image.

Here be the entire gang http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn303/Decrepit_Waste/ESIV%20Oblivion/WeyVillage4.jpg, the manor visible beneath a bridge arch.

http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn303/Decrepit_Waste/ESIV%20Oblivion/WeyeManorBalconyMorn1.jpg, along with http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn303/Decrepit_Waste/ESIV%20Oblivion/WeyeManorBalconyMorn2.jpg. My avatar contemplates life here many an early morning or evening.

http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn303/Decrepit_Waste/ESIV%20Oblivion/WeyeVillageScenic1.jpg.

As to his other digs, I'll touch on them briefly:

Verona House: A HUGE estate house. He gets lost in there. He rarely sleeps there, it being so near Weye.

Faregyl Estate: Nice and cozy. Beds for two. He likes it very much. They spend the night there whenever their adventures see them near Faregyl at bedtime.

Castle Seaview, Gold Coast. One of the first if not the first grand dwelling my avatar acquired. His mount Arrowspeed hails from there. He almost never stays there, it being too far out of the way for practicality's sake.

Benirus Manor, Anvil. This is his home away from home on the Gold Coast. Only one bed, so he and Vilja must be on their best behavior. Before acquiring Benirus they slept at the local Fighters Guild Hall.

Fighters Guild Hall, Skingrad.
Fighters Guild Hall, Chorrol.
Fighters Guild Hall, Bruma.
Fighters Guild Hall, Bravil.
Fighters Guild Hall, Corinthe Elsweyr.
Mages Guild Hall, Cheydinhal.
Mages and Fighters Guild Halls, Leyawiin. One in each hall due to overcrowding and lack of beds.

The above is where they choose to stay in those cities where they own no private property.

Barracks and private officers quarters, Fort Akatosh (along the Niben between the Imperial City and Bravil). He slept in the Akatosh barracks with some regularity early on, but rarely stays there now.

http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn303/Decrepit_Waste/ESIV%20Oblivion/SI_Home_1.jpg, a first play-through image. This is a very nice abode. My avatar sleeps here during his extremely rare visits to the Shivering Isles. This is one of the very first non-utility mods I installed during my first play-through. I continue to think highly of it. Its lack of popularity likely stems from its location, fine for those who reside in the Realm of Madness but too far out of the way otherwise.

Arch-Mage Quarters, Arcane University. Councilor's Private Quarters, Councilors' Wing, White-Gold Tower, Imperial City. These are both discussed above.

When circumstances find them in the wilderness or a dungeon at bedtime they think nothing of grabbing some shuteye at any available campsite or bedroom. My avatar will, with some reluctance, even spring for an Inn room when push comes to shove.

But doesn′t she have a house in Bravil too?

My character has a few houses, all with their specific purpose.

*Bruma - His first and "real" home which he bought because he simply loved it, and the town, the very first moment he saw them.
*Imperial City - Convenient location, and close to the Arcane University.
*Bravil - Because of its close proximity to the Shivering Isles, the Bravil house is perfect to store stuff collected there.

He also has a house in Anvil but he really never uses it. He got it only because it was so cheap, it was an investment you might say.

No, silly. Buffy sold her Bravilian cottage to Lothran! She's rarely in the City of Mara these days and when she is, she stays at her guild. Kud-Ei is very strict about upstairs being girls only.

Lothran's Bruma house is wonderful. So cozy now that he has the fireplace working again!

This must be so true. Though I am able to limit the stuff my characters have and carry, I have yet to play a truely rootless character. It's gotta be tough.

Very cool, I don't think I'd seen screenies of these two before. I love(d) Renee Gade II!

Thanks! I was active with her from April 2009 till the summer of 2010. She died fighting Umaril. :( But her game got struck by the A-bomb just before she died, anyways. :(

At the time, I was pretty happy with the way she turned out. I used a pic of Cleopatra from the original 1930's-era movie to get her look. Looking at her now, her face is a little goofy, but whatever.
