Which actor's voice do you want to hear?

Morgan Freeman!

Oh and shush with the whole "Bethesda only has a 20$ allowance".

Oblivion made billions, and star-power always helps boost the sales, so executives will fund it.

I wdare not imagine what people do when they during the time they hear their personal idol in games. *Shudder*
Want the voice of your Idol rip it of a/many movie(s) fill a blue ray CD and hear it all day long. We don t need them here.

As it was said "just someone that does the job."

Liam Neeson. Liam Neeson must voice every character in the game. As well as the main character. Because he is a god among men.

Whoever said Morgan Freeman, I agree. That'd be gnar. OR, that Dos Equis guy. Or maybe Red from Pineapple Express, that'd be hilarious.

EDIT: NPH of Neil Patrick Harris fame.

 @ Joke.

Morgan Freeman ftw.

For a game where dialogue plays a huge role I want very good voices not celebrity voices. By very good I mean as good as the Dunmer male in Morrowind. That voice is part of the game's awesomeness. Recognizable voices are not particularly good for immersion, because instead of bonding with the characters you think "hey, it's captain Picard speaking! it's Bono! it's Hank Moody!"

Eh, doesn't need to anyone famous; just someone who can do the job.

I just never understood the idea of star attraction in order to promote something

Well, then there's some eye-candy stars that I'll pay attention to, but I'll be darned if I know what they're pitching

OHHH I know!! Frank Oz! well....he's not really an actor...

How is Frank Oz not an actor? Voice of Fozzie, Yoda, Grover, Bert, The Cookie Monster, Miss Piggy, Animal, Sam the Eagle, and many more. He's even been in a few movies in person. Sure, primarily a VOICE actor, but no question, an ACTOR.

I had from the OP an impression that an actor was one whose face has been on a screen, not a voice actor or pupeteer, etc.

What about....Magnus ver Magnusson! He's burly, strong, a star (in Iceland and a niche in other places), and might be a bit cheap, too. Besides, they could just use his body as a template for a Norse God equivilant in Skyrim and save money!

Save him for Fallout 4 instead. He can be the radio host. :D

OH, or use him as a beggar who becomes an elder scrolls equivelent to a radio host in a questline!

Sorry, but even if he'd never done Yoda, he would still be one of my favorite voice actors OF ALL TIME, :) and as I said, he's been IN movies as well, though rarely, and not typically in a big part.

I loved Liam Neeson.

But I want to hear Todd Howard or Pete Hines.

or Ray Lewis, from the Baltimore Ravens. (not a Ravens fan, just like his commercials)

I don't want any famous voice actors due to their cost and it may be hard to think of NPCs when thinking of the actual actor.

I know Beth must have a very large budget, but I'd much rather they not spend a massive amount on a few actors, and instead ensure that each race has at least one male and female voice (preferable more).

I bet you that incogneatus and his mentally ill friends would voice act just so they could say they did.

I think he can do some not weird voices but here is the only demo video I could find.

I would also like to see a Steve Blum mode where every NPC, females included, and animal was voice acted by Steve Blum in his normal speaking voice.

After "Mr New Vegas" himself, I don't want any celebrities in the game. Mr New Vegas, it killed the voice acting for me, I don't ever ever want it again.

The game developpers doing the voices would be just good for me.

Yeah. First voice in the game, Legendary Game Developer, Todd Howard!!!
And he's gotta say : "Kneel before General Todd!"

According to thread posted by someone who recieved the game informer, and read the article, Max Von Syndow is voicing your "mentor" of sorts. For those of you who have seen Shutter Island, that is the German scientist who has an argument with Leonardo DiCaprio's character.

If any actors they should have Robert Carlyle. From SGU, Plays the voice of Gabriel in Castlevania: Lords of Shadow.
